Tonight's was a bit heavy on the snot'n'tears, wasn't it? If anyone can devise a way of Fletch responding quickly and successfully to his treatment and stopping Essie thinking that she should be able to carry on life as normal whilst she's undergoing chemo, please implement your plan ASAP.

Medani's torso was the only redeeming feature of this episode. I've no idea what the pills he bought were - any ideas?

Oh Henrik - Guy Henry plays that role so beautifully. Felt so sorry for Henrik last night - such a sad, lonely man. He was a far less likeable character when he was first introduced, but his character development has been so good, bringing out his supportive and vulnerable sides.

I know the social distancing element to filming makes it all very difficult, but why have we not seen a single other character (as far as I recall) offer him any support? Is it just to emphasise how alone he feels himself to be? It’s ridiculous though, isn’t it: drug addict Kian has Lucky trying to glue herself to him to help him (and get herself some hot doc action!), Dom has half the hospital dancing attendance on him because he has a (temporary) stoma, but Henrik discloses he was sexually abused as a child and is having to come into contact at work with his abuser - and other than one pitiful attempt by Fletch to say he shouldn’t be on his own, nobody seems the slightest bit bothered. Hmm

Agree re lack of support. I was glad one of them said something like "it's the man who abused him" rather than the man he claims... but yes, why isn't Lucky bugging him?

So two weeks ago Max takes the fall for her son. Then Sahira...takes the fall for her son. It’s so thrilling, not. Anyone else bored by the laziness?

@ChoccyJules - I never even thought of that (both taking the fall for their sons) till you pointed it out! You’re right, that’s such lazy writing (esp as the whole Louis stealing storyline was so feeble in the first place). And how pointless was Sahira’s brief return! If it was just a device to get in a self-harming story for Henrik, why Sahira’s dad? I can’t recall any mention when her character was first in Holby of her knowing Hansen as a family friend since she was a child - just of them having worked together before. Poor retconning.

True - I totally forgot to watch it last night. Seeing only two comments and nothing about the storylines suggests I haven't missed much.

I kept thinking last night that the Trust might be less strapped for cash if Dom didn't require so many procedures. He's going to be at rock bottom when he comes round and discovers he's got another stoma.

Lucky has become quite worrying, hasn't she? I feel her motivation re Kian has become rather sinister.
