Fizzy that interview is from a few days back I think, they keep showing it when there is a gap. It is confusing, because it says 'live' in the corner Grin.

I'm not sure how long it is on for, actually!

Doesn't the British thing start soon too?

We will be spoilt for choice!

Raahh · 13/06/2020 16:36

Fizzy yes, we are sticking with the major issues, of course.

I'm glad Sascha has been allowed out of lockdown , away from his cleaning duties.

Fizzywinegum · 13/06/2020 16:40

Maybe Rafa could do a tournament from his Academy? There are quite a few Spanish players he could call on (although not sure if travel is allowed from mainland Spain to Mallorca yet?)

Yes I think the British tournament should be on soon but not quite sure when - come on Dan!

Fizzywinegum · 13/06/2020 16:41

Grin yes poor Sascha - I bet he’s been very busy during lockdown!

JaneJeffer · 13/06/2020 16:42

Oh brilliant thanks everyone. I'm not sure what the story with our Eurosport is because DH didn't renew the subscription but it's working for now anyway Confused

It's almost as if tennis has never been away, reading your comments. Loving the musings on everything but the actual tennis Grin

The GB tournament is a week on Tuesday and is on Amazon Prime (fingers crossed!). I read earlier that the singles draw has been made........The Tim Henman group is Andy, Kyle, Liam Broady and James Ward and the Greg Rusedski group is Dan, Cam Norrie, Jay Clarke and Jack Draper.

Fizzywinegum · 13/06/2020 16:45

I think ours just restarted automatically (along with an increase in the bill of course Hmm) Jane when some sport came back in the last few months.

Raahh · 13/06/2020 16:47

Fizzy he could do a mini junior tournament, just for the kids in the academy. Not sure who would watch, but if he joined in, it would be a lot of fun for them.

I was reading a bit about other players and their views on the US open, and Patrick M was saying that since only one person can go with each player, and there is no way Serena would be parted from her daughter for 3 weeks- that Olympia should coach her Grin. He said she would probably do a better job Grin.

JaneJeffer · 13/06/2020 16:47

I forgot how annoying the dog is when I'm trying to watch tennis.

kazza looks like the new normal is the same as the old normal Grin

I saw the draw for the British thing- Jamie dubbed Andy 'the one hip wonder' Grin.

JaneJeffer · 13/06/2020 16:50

Grin love those Murrays

Raahh · 13/06/2020 16:51

Sascha had a bad case of the yips there. Too much time off court has not been good for him.

Raahh · 13/06/2020 16:53

I always wonder why Sascha chooses to wear shorts on red clay, that match the colour. He seems to do it every year.

kazzaD66 · 13/06/2020 16:54

Although, didn't he have a bad case of the yips before lockdown aswell? Can't remember when and where though Hmm

Gotta love the Murray banter Grin

JaneJeffer · 13/06/2020 16:55

Because no one will notice the stains when he puts them on quick wash Raahh

Yes that's what happened with ours sports channels as well Fizzy.

That's good about the GB tournament - I wonder if the Beeb might show some of it (changing from bbc1 to 2 throughout for Wimbledon-style vibes)

But I heard Eggheads has been cancelled!! Shock

PrivateSpidey · 13/06/2020 16:58

Grin

He knows all the tricks Grin

Raahh · 13/06/2020 16:58

Zverev and double faults are a bit of a 'thing'.

And they certainly are today!

Raahh · 13/06/2020 16:59

When Dick was raising money for aces to the bushfire relief fund, didn't someone offer money for Sachas double faults?

kazzaD66 · 13/06/2020 17:00

I thought I read somewhere that the BBC wouldn't be showing it because they hadn't had enough warning to cater for it. Whether that means they couldn't get a team together (either in front of mic/camera or behind them) or they couldn't squeeze it into their packed schedule of repeats, I don't know Hmm

Raahh · 13/06/2020 17:00

True about the stains Jane - he's a clever lad. Grin

Raahh · 13/06/2020 17:02

Well, Doctors has now finished,SadGrin Queen's isn't on. All that is on the BBC is Father Brown and a load of day time repeats, so not being able to show the tennis is a poor show. They losing Queen's, Wimbledon, the Euros aren't on, the Olympics- you would think they would jump at the chance for some proper live stuff.

JaneJeffer · 13/06/2020 17:02

I hope ITV pick it up then.

OP posts:
Raahh · 13/06/2020 17:03

I'm sure Andrew Cotter would happily commentate from home. With him dogs.

Raahh · 13/06/2020 17:04

*his

Can you imagine, if ITV did? Mind you, they usually show RG, so no reason why not.

Don't want Inverdale though.
