We have been discussing Our Girl from the first series back in 2014 and are now on thread 55!

Kingy has the file on Georgie's assessment. Now she has to apologise for being really mean to that legend of a man...no wonder his name is King!

Meanwhile the Afghan soldiers are plotting in the storeroom. Poya's got to take the American bigwig out. He doesn't look all that sure about it.

The old woman who is hobbling along - I almost thought it was going to be a repeat of Badrai impersonating a woman in series 1.

Georgie tracks down Dr Antonio.

Tense music - worries at the polling station and an unlikely suicide bomber. Awful stuff.

Agree that Cheese is awful. But at least U’ve followed all that conversation before the first explosion.

Georgie collars Dr Dishy. She means business by the looks of it. Now she's giving him the third degree. What does she expect of Dr Dishy - he's a DOCTOR!!!

Georgie has lost all sense of proportion, if she ever had one. Of course Dr Dishy shouldn’t tell her anything.

Now Dr Dishy admits that Omar might not be Omar! She's got a bit of a nerve later when she has a go at him.

She's very tactile with Dr Dishy - can't say I blame her. She doesn't go about hugging everyone.

In real life, I doubt Dr Antonio would reveal the Omar/not Omar situation surely?

After learning this, Georgie hugs Antonio, witnessed by Prof. Oh dear, he's jealous. It's like Smurf all over again!

Lt Hurst tells the Brig about the explosion and about Omar. The Brig isn't interested, just wants to cosy up to the American bigwig and won't cancel the presentation.

She did more than that with CJ and Elvis Rhu! Haha.

Lt Hurst unwittingly scuppers the Afghans' plan by reassigning Poya to the hospital.

Indeed ilove I suppose we should be glad for small mercies - she's left a presentable man for some other lucky woman.

Wonder if Dr Dishy is into finger buffetsRhu?

Oh, and I'm still trying to cleanse my brain of that last episode in Bangladesh - I do wish we'd been told just a snippet more about CJ - an admission that he'd gone back to Molly.

Well, he is coming to London for a conference, perhaps Judy is doing the honours eejit.

The armoured vehicle arrives at the hospital. Mimi seems to have struck up quite a friendship with Poya on the journey there.

Poya’s found the cupboard.

So Poya reveals something of his past to Mimi. She senses there is great sadness in his life.

Sly compliment from Georgie to Prof there. She certainly values him.

Dr Bahil seems very apathetic about the situation in Afghanistan.

The American bigwig is on his way.

Meanwhile, back at the hospital, Poya reappeaers in front of Dr Bahil with the suicide vest on This so smacks of Bashira in series 1 and the Nigerian boy in series 3.

Poya emerges from the cupboard. Dr Bahil sees the wires and knows what's going on.

Here's Mimi turned up a the wrong moment. She sees the wires too..whoops!

Mimi's gonna talk him down. She's so like Molly and so determined to save the situation.

Poya blames Dr Dishy for giving intel to the American army. I've got a point to make about that later, but for now let's leave it. So is Dr Dishy a real doctor is he CIA or something else?

American 5* general or whoever he is has a welcome by the Brig.

Mimi and Dr Bahil try to talk Poya out of pressing the button.

At last! We find out that Mimi's mother was a heroin addict and that she ended up in care due to a failed adoption.
