We have been discussing Our Girl from the first series back in 2014 and are now on thread 55!

The kite was definitely still on a string.

Oooh, I'll have to go back and have another look then - and maybe polish my glases as well!

She had the reel in her hand and it looked like someone was definitely steering it (saw her moving her hands, maybe winding string). But when I looked again I couldn't see string going from her to the kite in the final shot - whether that's just the angle, I don't know. I'm less certain now!

When I saw her tie the dog tags and the ring to the string, I did't think there was much point in her doing that if she didn't intend letting them go - that was my theory anyway.

Sorry to miss the watchalong last night everyone, I was caught up with a work problem and it completely slipped my mind. Must be the first time I've missed one. I enjoyed reading your comments, though. Perhaps we could consider a full series re-watch in a while or....even....possibly....series 1 or 2 again? We also have the remainder of Soldier, Soldier to consider, so could continue until the end of the current series and then take a break for another Our Girl wallow?

So, what are the chances of another series? I think this one was pretty good, so you never know. If MK definitely leaves then it would be a complete reboot.

Rhu how do you fancy a second watchalong of the final episode of the series this next week? Any night is fine by me, not sure what others think. You are pivotal in our musings and it's a shame you missed out last week. Eejit? Anyone else who has joined in?

I was amazed to read on some website or other that some people thought it was a poor series. They must not have watched series 3, that's all I can think!

Some people have nae taste. Suppose there was insufficient sex for some.
Would be happy to try another watchalong, despite the buffering ...

I'd be happy to do another watch along of the final episode tomorrow at 9pm if that suits ilove. It would be nice to finish off the series.

I suppose it helps to appreciate the full story arc for Georgie when you view the last series. For us it's the right end. If you were a newer fan, drawn in by the last series you might see it differently and be disappointed that so much harked back to series two, especially if you liked the CJ/Georgie pairing.

So, they are lining up in front of the Brigadier and he is giving them all the brief for today. Dr Dishy glances at Georgie, so does Prof.

Cheese is a really dreadful character. We are yet to find out what the connection is between him and Mimi.

Ah, everyone likes Poya...little do they know. The Lt Hurst imagines all those baddies out there, planning bad things!

Prof is such a grounded character and tries to stop Georgie from telling the world and his wife about Omar.

So Cheese has got the answers that have failed all the politicians and diplomats out there. Cheese is bullying Mimi again, but Monk has recognised it.

Prof is talking sense into Georgie. He's took clever to be a squaddie.

Oh, I started watching Catch 22 on C4 last year, but missed a few episodes and gave up.

Prof likes to get his hands on Georgie...ah, bless him!
