We have been discussing Our Girl from the first series back in 2014 and are now on thread 55!

"Hospital in lockdown" - yeah, we understand lockdown thank you!

Dr Bahil accuses Antonio of spying when they are on outreach work, then calling it back in to the intelligence guys.

Lt Hurst has really grown a spine! :-)

I do think Dr Antonio over-reacted there. Typical tank.

Here comes Cheese with some notion of throwing in some CS gas now the Afghans are all confined to quarters. "He's a wrong 'un" says Throbber - maybe he's not as daft as he looks.

Antonio rings Georgie to tell her about the suicide attempt/shooting at the hospital and that Poya has been killed. Georgie now has suspicions about Rabee.

Meanwhile, back at base, Monk and Throbber tell Kingy that Georgie and Prof are in the armoured vehicle with Rabee who then pretends there's a mistake and it can't be Poya. Even Prof sounds confused.

Georgie shows Rabee where Elvis was blown up and Rabee panics, grabs her rifle as well as his own and legs it!

*bites nails"

I wonder how close Georgie was to pulling that trigger on Rabee/Omar?
She makes do with a smack in the face. The same as she did to Elvis when he rescued her in Kenya!

She then concentrates on tending Prof's injuries.

Cheese gets called in to Hurst's office for a severe dressing down (we hope).

I’m a bit behind because of buffering - apologies.

Antonio's charm hasn't worked its magic on Georgie. She doesn't want to meet him when he's on a course in London later in the year.

Georgie checks up on Prof. This is very sweet.

Prof looks very young without his glasses!

Mimi comes over to make her confession.

Throbber and Monk are a bit like Paddy and Dave.

Throbber is ever so slightly more endearing now!

Kingy comes along and dishes out the first compliment Throbber has ever had!

They all congregate around Prof's bed. Here comes Lt Hurst. He came good in the end, despite being a total drip for five episodes!

I love this next scene where Hurst is called into the Brig's office and is issued with an invitation to be the Brig's plus one at a fancy dinner. He turns him down! Great stuff! Turns him down in favour of being with the rest of the platoon to celebrate the success of the mission.

Prof and Georgie have a heart to heart amongst the sandbags. When he mentions a childhood kite flying up to heaven, Georgie decides to let Elvis' dog tags and his engagement ring go heavenwards too. (Not sure I would have done that with an engagement ring, but maybe I would be more likely to sell it or have it remodelled into something else).

Looks as if a drink is on the cards when the tour ends.

A lovely happy ever after. Leaves it open if MK wants to come back.

Do we think there'll be another series?

I agree that Georgie shouldn’t do that with the ring. There’s closure and there is downright idiocy.

Shall we wait for Rhu to come on here tomorrow and then decide what we want to do next week?

That was an exciting final episode. No big surprises but it kept me glued to the screen :-). I didn't actually think Georgie would shoot Omar, but he was right: She could only lose.
After losing my "second row" favourite (Fingers), I think Lt Hurst is shaping up well to fill the spot :-).

Oh yes - I meant to say. This hospital isn’t where Rab and the injured SF guy were taken.

BTW: What was Throbbers first name? Kane? Kane Wolf(e)?
