Weird when the new girl Frankie said her brother died 10 years ago, I assumed it would be more of a recent thing like a year or two.

I reckon the 10 years ago is going to be relevant to some storyline from the past. She also said he was called Harry and I was trying to think who that could be connected to. The only person I could think of was Kat slaters abusive uncle. But he died a long time ago didn’t he? More than 15/16 years? So Frankie and Harry wouldn’t be his kids? Or maybe they’re his grand kids?

Why doesn't Chantelle just tell her mum and dad and get them on board to help her?

I didn't google that but I would recommend not googling anything to do with Eastenders if you don't like spoilers. There are loads of them everywhere. I usually manage to avoid them but I've stumbled across so many in the last few weeks.

Ian is ageing much faster than his mum. It is beginning to look ridiculous. They look the same age. Kathy does look really good though.

They are probably trying to get their viewers back. They had a long break and people’s viewing habits changed. I’ve watched three episodes so far to date when previously I watched it religiously. Partly because the Chantelle story makes me feel upset and I don’t see the point of watching a tv entertainment programme to get upset and partly because the tv failed to record and I haven’t been arsed to watch online. I enjoy this thread a lot more! Though I will resume watching after the Chantelle storyline.

I imagine it's quite common for abuse victims not to tell anyone. Embarrassment maybe, the feeling that it's their fault... It's brought it home that it's not as simple as "just leave"
