7:30 tomorrow, folks

ilovesooty · 16/04/2020 22:00

I think she was lucky to get through some of the earlier rounds.

7.30 tomorrow!

Halsall · 16/04/2020 22:00

X-reminder with everyone Smile

GrouchyKiwi · 16/04/2020 22:00

See y'all tomorrow.

PotterHead1985 · 16/04/2020 22:02

It was Pan fried duck breast, red cabbage braised with smoked bacon, and red wine, creamed potatoes, pear and black pudding and a port, duck, orange, cinnamon and star anise sauce.

fourquenelles · 16/04/2020 22:19

Sounds delicious Potter and I am not normally a fan of star anise.

Just catching up. I was sad for Claire, even though I preferred David through the competition I thought his Eton Tidy was a kop out.
I said to DH the final three get to be critics in years to come, 4th place just misses out.

OhWhatFuckeryIsThisNow Wowser Jay!!

Footle · 16/04/2020 23:09

@OhWhatFuckery, thanks for the young Jay photo!

franke · 17/04/2020 09:51

Just caught up with the latest episode. I warmed to Clare by the end, she seemed just sweet and good natured. I couldn't decide between her and David on this episode, I would only have put him through on past performance.

gabrielleblue · 17/04/2020 16:52

@PotterHead1985 That isn't MC presentation style!

PotterHead1985 · 17/04/2020 18:54

@forqs me neither. Hate aniseed but they complimented the other flavours lovely.

I'm starving so gonna get the dinner on (had breakfast early as had to go to the doctor).

Dinner tonight is beef burger marinaded in a Jack Daniel's, lemon and soy sauce, bacon medallion, gouda, tomato, lettuce and optional ketchup and garlic mayo on a floury bap. Friday fakeaway for the win.

PotterHead1985 · 17/04/2020 18:55

@gabrielle no it isnt. I need to start visualising and drawing the presentation before I begin cooking. Presentation is definitely my downfall

PotterHead1985 · 17/04/2020 19:22

Are we ready? Who do we want to win? I want Sandy or else Tom (he was the one who did the classic homely fare wasn't he? Or was that David. I don't remember back that far. That was when Mammy was in hospital time before last!!!)

TheDogsMother · 17/04/2020 19:29

Evening everyone ! I have gin and tonic in easy reach and am looking forward to the final. It really is all to play for.

TheDogsMother · 17/04/2020 19:30

Chances of beetroot powder in the final ?

lettingthedaysgoby · 17/04/2020 19:32

I'm not worried - I don't think there is anyone who is out in front really. All good, no-one spectacular. Sandy is very good but persists in whacky fusions, Thomas probably the better cheffy cook, David solid traditional food done well. Very open...

Halsall · 17/04/2020 19:32

Hello all. Gosh, this series seems to have gone fast, hasn't it?

Are we in danger of needing a new thread, do you think, fourq?

GrouchyKiwi · 17/04/2020 19:32

Evening all. I've been spending a wild evening folding washing and singing along to the Beatles.

I have white wine, cream cheese, crackers and chocolate biscuits.

I want Sandy to smash it for a change and win. But I'll be fine with either of the chaps too.

fourquenelles · 17/04/2020 19:33

Nice fresh thread for the final over this way HERE
