He was very clean, Baby Jeaus. Grin

JaneJeffer · 10/04/2020 15:06

Bold fail Grin his middle name is Barron which is a tradition in the Murray family. I think Andy wasn't too keen.

Oh yes I knew there was some sort of bear thing going on Bear!

I’ve set JoN to record - it was made in 1977 Shock. I’m sure the whole family will be impressed if I suggest it for tonight’s viewing!

JaneJeffer · 10/04/2020 15:11

Joseph is a hottie Grin

Fizzywinegum · 10/04/2020 15:13

I think Bear Barron might have been too much of a mouthful Grin

I’m getting excited about JoN now with the very clean Baby Jesus and hot Joseph! I hope it’s as good as I remembered (all those years ago!)

Raahh · 10/04/2020 15:36
Grin
Raahh · 10/04/2020 15:59

ooh- we get Robert Powell (of the blue eyes), and Michael York losing his head, in the next part of JoN.

kazzaD66 · 10/04/2020 22:24

Stan is playing backgammon with a cuddly polar bear - with a couple of bear jokes thrown in for good measure BearGrin

(Sorry, I don't know how to link it. I'm a luddite, I know Confused )

JaneJeffer · 10/04/2020 22:38

I saw that kazza Grin

Barbora's niece is so cute.

Oh I’d forgotten about Barbora - cute baby Smile

Stan is funny - I can’t remember how to do links or photos however many times I’m shown either kazza - I think DS1’s patience is wearing thin after the Rafa in his pants debacle Grin

I managed to watch the Roger Wimbledon clip without crying Spidey so I must be feeling a bit stronger today!

Had to queue outside the butchers for ages to pick up some lamb for tomorrow’s lunch - felt a bit as if it was war time Hmm but at least we’ve got nice food and wine and chocolate and so far we are all well Smile

I’ve worked out how to have some alone time - just put Jesus of Nazareth on - that soon cleared the room! I watched most of the first bit - it was OK but a bit Monty Pythonish Grin. There are some very famous people in it.

Hope everyone is OK

JaneJeffer · 11/04/2020 13:54

I'm very confused by Djok's garden Confused

What the heck? Confused

JaneJeffer · 11/04/2020 14:05

When you can't decide if you want a patio or a lawn Grin

OP posts:
Fizzywinegum · 11/04/2020 14:08

Grin how does he (or his gardener) cut the grass?

Raahh · 11/04/2020 14:09

We unintentionally ended up with a back garden like that, -only more overgrown-- when the grass just took over the patio. It is not easy to mow. Though I doubt Djok does it himself Grin.

Raahh · 11/04/2020 14:16

xpost Grin

magimedi · 11/04/2020 15:35

I bet you it's astroturf!

PrivateSpidey · 11/04/2020 15:45

Grin that garden set up is massively irritating me! Argh! Just why?!

Although to be fair to djok (well why not, for once?!), I thought he was in Spain somewhere and not at home? Although that.might have been part of my fitness video dream. Grin

Enjoyed all your Jesus of Nazareth posts. Good tactic for getting some peace Fizzy. Hope you had a secret chocolate stash to enjoy as well.

It does feel a bit like rationing sometimes doesn't it, although obviously I know it was much worse back then. Did anyone watch "Back in time - the corner shop" recently? They featured rationing on that and one of the customers came in to the shop and tried to swap a cabbage from his allotment for an extra egg - over and above his ration! Shock Which was highly frowned on apparently.

Sadly I don't have an allotment, although I am growing some lettuce - something to look forward to in a few weeks Hmm Grin

Right I'll stop my inane AC style witterings now. Hope everyone is ok.

JaneJeffer · 11/04/2020 15:55

Grin I enjoyed your witterings

I emailed a shopping list to DH yesterday to get on his way home from work and had the following conversation when he got home.
Me: Did they not have broccoli?
DH: They had loads.
Me: Why didn't you get any?
DH: It wasn't on the list.
Me: Where's the red peppers?
DH: They weren't on the list.
Me: Show me the list!
He'd only printed off half of the list! He got me a Galaxy Easter egg though which is much nicer than broccoli Grin

OP posts:
PrivateSpidey · 11/04/2020 16:08

Grin yes imagine if he got the veg instead of the egg! Shock

Fizzywinegum · 11/04/2020 16:18

DH went to the shops a few weeks ago (when things were really crazy) and forgot the list Shock. We had to send him a photo of it - I’ve now taken over shopping duties!

I know what you mean about rationing Spidey - it’s DH’s birthday on Tuesday and I don’t know if I’ve got enough sugar or flour to make a cake! I keep hearing stories about how people in the war didn’t have sugar in their tea so that they could make a birthday cake!

Chocolate always better than broccoli Jane Grin

Raahh · 11/04/2020 16:25

I am introducing my lot to the joys of 'Half a Sixpence'. They really don't share my love of cheesy musicals. Nor do they appreciate me singing along Grin.

Fizzywinegum · 11/04/2020 16:34

Another good way of getting some alone time Raahh Grin

JaneJeffer · 11/04/2020 16:57

I'm so lazy today. I'm watching Miss Potter. It's lovely. I love Renee Zelwegger.

OP posts:
PrivateSpidey · 11/04/2020 17:48

I love Miss Potter as well - it's so sad though!

Raahh good work with the cheesy musicals! Grin

BB has posted a good video of himself shopping for essentials in M&S Grin
