I saw this risotto with gold leaf on Masterchef Australia.

And the most disappointing food thing is getting a gorgeous looking box of chocolates and they all taste like nothing.

Anyone else think, whenever they do the gold leaf thing, it looks like they've left a bit of cooking foil on.

Battery going to go. I made latkes for dinner, with spares for lunch tomorrow. They are calling me.

Well I had no gf matzo meal. So grated spud, put in cold water. Drain, save the water-leave to settle, pour the thin top off, keep the starchy bit. Squish all the water out. Egg(s), some flour or matzo meal. Salt pepper. Grate in onion. Bit of starchy water. Mix, fry spoonfuls.
Fucking Claire. Pah.
