Good point Freda. Perhaps they were taken to grande restaurants a lot when growing up. Sundays at Rossi's in Southend High Street hasn't the same cache

Do you like them as people? I’m not at all keen on GC. JR I find snidey but I enjoy some of his writing. Haven’t really come across TPB yet.

I really love Luca. Not necessarily the best cook but he has lovely accent

I enjoy Jay Raynors reviews (and I loved his mums books), I like Grace far better on the show than in her reviews, although I do like it when she writes about eating at the food court in Westfield.

Giles I find creepy. Jay I'd climb like a tree. Tom meh!

I think there's a lot of truth in this. The Wimpy was for really special occasions - BHS café was the height of sophistication for us!

I loved going to littlewoods cafe with my friends when we were in sixth form, spending ages over a pot of tea, sneaking in our own biscuits.
I'm glad the coffee shop explosion hadn't happened, I'd never have afforded to keep up.

I like Jay Rayner's articles and I think he writes well.

His recent 'Last Supper' show was excellent - I spoke to him briefly afterwards and he came across as a really nice bloke.

I spent a lot of time in Littlewoods cafe too.

Avocado and lime sorbet hmmmm I like the look and sound of that. Not a great fan of over spicy food. Sweet chilli is probably my limit
