Thought I’d do a separate thread for the finale so that if anyone is just starting to watch they don’t get spoiled.

Damian and Giannina. What a fuck up. I couldn’t live with her though. She is seriously hard work.

Totally blamed her for choosing not to marry her.... YES! Now you see it, watch it over again and see if you see it earlier as well?

Honestly I'm shocked his behaviour isn't all over this site. I was fully expecting a chorus of anger over it.

I didn't know that Nduja :) But he still lovebombed her something awful whenever it looked like he wasn't going to get his way.

Mark is probably waiting for Jessica to "realise" that she loves him, he really couldn't take on board at all that she doesn't feel the same way he does. He does also remind me of someone who just wants a partner, doesn't matter who they are as long as he has one.

Also his eyes scare me 🙈

I don't know if I full on think he's abusive but he's definitely manipulative, there's something not nice about the way he speaks to her and manages to come out of arguments without any of the blame.
I think Gigi is a very immature 25 year old, she's dramatic and over the top and I don't think she was every really going to be ready to marry someone. She's not really at that point in her life yet. She's got some serious emotional damage going on as well.

Mark is so intense, he would scare me. He is desperate to be loved

@SavageBeauty73 yes!! He was like oh I'm not marrying you because you're not 100% but I am but I'm not doing it because of you. And she had just given a huge speech about how she knows she hadn't been 100% but she was now and she knows now what she wants etc etc. Felt like he was using her as an excuse. She seemed really hurt by what he said as his reason.

I get the whole ‘I’m not going to marry you because of you’ that’s true. But I guess I hadn’t really picked up on the other stuff. From my perspective it was things had been good, then She made a mountain out of a molehill whilst they were on the boat and he said he liked being away from it all, then she decided that he was shit at the sex and didn’t give her butterflies anymore and then they shagged and then she decided that actually she was all in and he just got sick of not knowing which way was up.

I don’t think they were a good match though. He seemed like a condescending father and she a petulant teenager. It would have been a horrorshow if they had both said yes.

I didn't ever think that I would feel Barnett is the only normal man.

To be fair if my partner had said "OMFG it's so good to be away from the drama", I would REALLY want to know what the drama was before it smacked me in the face as his partner. She pushed harder than I would but I totally understand why it was frustrating when he wouldn't explain the remark.

haha! I did a 180 on Barnett. I was really pissy with him in the pods, felt he was totally game playing and being a douche. But once he committed to Amber I started rather liking him. He was very earnest about making it work with her. And to his credit he never once reciprocated Jessica's flirting and kept telling Jessica how great things were with Amber. He changed my mind ;)

I liked Cameron too, although he's too intense for my liking. Kenny was a bit of a non entity to me (and apparently also to Kelly!). I originally liked Carlton but his behaviour to Diamond was SO HORRENDOUS I can't get over it. He is now branded 'dickhead'. Damian was the one one to give me the full on skin crawl.

I wonder will Kelly's mum spend the rest of her life telling Kelly how stupid she was to let Kenny go? So funny when even after her daughter had just left him at the alter she was like "gosh I just love this man " 🤣

Totally agree on initial and current opinion on Barnett. How did that happen?!

I think he has been very kind to Amber. When she opened up about her termination, I think that was a turning point for him and when he realised it was actual people with actual feelings that he was dealing with. His mother looked really happy for him at the wedding so maybe the meeting with Amber actually went better than how it was portrayed in the show?

I thought he was a dick frat boy in the pods and he'd turned out to be decent. He'd going to have his work cut out with Amber.

Kelly has just jilted Kenny. So cruel to get to the alter. How heartless is that? I wonder if they get a bonus from the producers for the drama?

Gosh if they get a bonus for drama then Damian and GiGi are making BANK! :o With honorable mention for 'effort made' by Jessica and Mark.

God this really is car crash tv, what a totally traumatic premise. Who realistically wants to put themselves through that? Although, of course I'm watching it.

I felt so sorry for Kenny, he seemed human. I don't understand why Kelly didn't marry him. I thought they had a shot, her sister was encouraging her to do it saying he was the best of the bunch of all her ex boyfriends.

I'm bereft it's over and there's not an update episode!

I'm actually warming to Amber. She dropped out of college after an unwanted abortion with depression. She seems to realize that her life is a bit of a train wreck and is hoping that this crazy marriage will fix all her problems.

OP Same! I'd totally watch a second series.

I like Amber too KickAss. I think she's got some esteem issues, but she seemed quite genuinely nice (if not unrealistic).
