Race Across the World series 2

I loved this show last year and was very excited to see a trailer yesterday that seemed to show series 2 was coming soon and was located in the Americas? But Googling it has revealed absolutely nothing! I thought I'd start this thread so that fellow fans have a place to comment when we have more info.

If it is the Americas, it will stop the contestants just copying last year's journeys, although I must admit I think the Europe/Asia route will prove more interesting as there's such a great variation in cultures as you travel east. But I don't know much about South America so looking forward to being wrong, and I'm sure it will be just as exciting as the last series. It'll be the people that make it - loved Darron and Alex from last year and their changing relationship/bond!

Africa could work. From somewhere amazing in Egypt to the Atlas Mountains and cities in the North through the desert to the plains and colours of Uganda/Kenya, the mountains and beaches of Tasmania, the sand dunes in Namibia and the beauty of Cape Town to finish.

I'm screaming at the tele, why don't they just plan to whole route before they leave Mendoza? Surely the people in the bus station there could tell them about quickest connections. I find it so odd they're just picking routes from their world maps and then surprised when there isn't a connection.

Also reckon there's a lot of smart editing to make it look like people might be making bad decisions which may not turn out to be the case,

I hope Jen does an AMA on here soon. She defo seems like a MNer. I can just imagine her drawing the perfect diagram about her neighbours parking outside her house and a penis beaker.
