Just seen that my post was 999, so though I should open a new one. Not meaning to tread on anyone's toes - except Gary/Ryan/Geoff etc.

From the moment Corrie began the storyline that Gemma was pregnant with quads I knew it was a massive plot mistake. It's just not sustainable, either as realistic drama or as lighthearted comedy.

Gemma and Chesney are dreadful actors, and to allow Gemma's mum to carry some of the acting load they've had to give her a complete personality transplant.

Surely Toyah could reach out to Gemma and Yasmeen, except Toyah has vanished. She's a qualified counsellor.

Don't people need to be referred to a counsellor rather than a counsellor approaching them. However, in real life and in the present situation, Harry and Meghan have suggested we all train as counsellors while confined to home.

In the real world yes. And in an episode I missed Toyah seemed to be struck off. But in Coronation Street I don't think that would matter? She should reach out, Meghan would.

The writing is very 'loose' at the moment, I feel I could do better!

David's going round insulting people and getting punched, the girl (can't remember her name) is a very boring character as Seb will obviously hook up with her again.

If Geoff is using the restaurant money, surely Aliya would know?

She does know. She saw all the cash withdrawals on the bank statement and went straight round to Geoff to see why he’d been withdrawing cash. He gave her some guff about the new restaurant menus. She didn’t believe him but she can’t prove he’s lying. (Is be asking for the receipts though!) I think that’s when Geoff got Yasmeen to say she was done with Aliyah so the conversation never went any further.

Can't she lock the money up though, or bank it daily or whatever... he can't just be dipping in continually still surely?

Not sure tbh. They haven’t really been consistent with following the story if she banks it Geoff still has access to it as he’s a joint partner in the business and he took it from the bank account in the first place. I suppose she could lock it away but that would be playing in to Geoff’s hands as he accused her of stealing it.

If she banks the money there will be proof he is withdrawing it though, so that would be something. I hate Geoff.

Yes that’s true. He can’t produce receipts for everything he claims to be spending it on.

How is he explaining having money for a 5* hotel to Yasmeen who he has told to spend only a few £ on the weekly shopping? Yasmeen needs to start putting two and two together and be brave enough to see the answer.

Who does any food preparation for the restaurant. They never seem to have any deliveries or go to cash and carry:)

Poor Robert. Shot dead and then forgotten. Not even a funeral.

There are about 30 houses in our street. One house has a lodger in a granny flat. One elderly man now his his brother living with him. Apart from these, nobody moves around to live with Eileen; adult children get jobs up to 200 miles away, and marry people who aren't neighbours.

I think some thoughts are ok to be kept to yourself dieu, and that’s one of them.

Oh Juan, you are absolutely right. And I'm sorry. I let myself down there, as I would never normally post anything like that. I think I've been stuck in isolation with my 3 kids for too long, and my judgement has become skewed. Sorry again.

I think Emma is a nice character,who deserves happiness. But she's nothing like Steve or Fiona who are an item on the classic series. She's about the same age now as they were in the classic series, that's very mind blowing.

Emma's a sweetie but I hate that godawful pink furry coat she wears!

But the baby she had does look like Emma!
