Just seen that my post was 999, so though I should open a new one. Not meaning to tread on anyone's toes - except Gary/Ryan/Geoff etc.

The older people were always battleaxes (women) or bossyboots (men). My parents in law, basically.

@MonkeyToesOfDoom I know it's not the same as it was years ago but still, would two women be fighting over someone that's HIV positive even these days? It would always be a big issue in a relationship surely?

In what way? Perhaps they’re trying to get the message across that it isn't a big issue, seeing as he’s on treatment and can’t pass it on. So it’s about him rather than his status. HIV is just a part of him.

Emily was kind and wise. I'd have loved her as a neighbour. Remember when she took part in a demo at the red rec and was up a tree ( with her handbag?).

There must be something in the water in Corrie. I cannot get over how thick hair some of the characters have... I'm old and the older you get your hair thins. I'm talking about...

All have hair like a fully thatched barn. I was, however, glad to see Claudia's roots needed doing, I couldn't imagine her red hair was natural at her age

If I had to be transplanted one of the above barnets... I think it would have to be Evelyn. At least it looks manageable. Whereas Gail's is not!

I was thinking - everyone talks about how good the early episodes of Corrie are, but I don't see them as I'm working (and am too lazy to find them and record!)

ITV could fill up some of the blanks in coming weeks by putting on these old episodes instead of, say, the Wednesday new episodes.

Ken's life story would be great.
