Changed the name of this thread as we were very upset with the ending of series 3 out in Bangladesh! Waiting out for news of series 4 and hoping it might not be long now. In the meantime, we are reviewing the seven series of Soldier Soldier.

So Mimi tells another story about her mother and Prof sees right through her.

Mimi and Georgie realise the wife is pregnant. Delivering babies is not part of their medical training. Mimi trips herself up by saying her mother is a midwife, but previously she's said she and her father were both teachers.

I'm surprised that Georgie knows nothing about Mimi's background. At least Mimi is being proactive. How many times has "Duty of Care" been cited as a reason to do something daft?

Do we know who the third SF guy is? It doesn't look like any of the ones we've seen in Elvis's or Bones' team before.

The only thing I'd say about Mimi's access to 4G or 5G or whatever, is that there probably is quite good coverage over Afghanistan given the amount of military activity - not sure of course, but on the other hand it was rubbish at the barracks!

Re: WiFi. A lot of developing countries have way better mobile networks than the Europeans, even in the sticks. The don't have landlines, so the telecoms started with mobile service right away (cheaper).

I do like this chat between Blue and Georgie and he tells her how he and Elvis were on a mission together and how he was trying to work out an exit from SF so that he could be with Georgie. Then he trips up and tells Georgie that Elvis was lured into a trap by Omar yet the authorities had known all about it.

Georgie wants Omar brought to justice, not disposed of.

Gosh, she really is having a tough time now. Poignant music. Ah there is lovely Fingers - a literal shoulder to cry on. The stars of Afghanistan - another memory of the shitter roof in series 1.

Did we ever learn what rank Blue is? In reality, a Sergeant would lead an SF troop, but it looks like he is at least a full lieutenant (giving orders to Lt. Hurst).

Oh this is tense - here comes the car. Meanwhile the baby is about to be born, unless the lady is really trying to say "Go away, Georgie...you're nothing but trouble!"

It gets really tense from now. It was so reminiscent of series 1. Well done to TG for getting us on the edge of our seats.

Did they not have another brief stint in Syria at the start of series 3? It was the set of scenes where they were introduced to Maisie as the driver.
