I've got a few I like this year. Loved H's performance and Lisa and Jo. I really want H to do well in the competition for his skating ability and not because of the same sex pairing, hopefully he'll go far.

Had to pop in and say H and Matts routine made my eye water. Truly wonderful to see.

I completely disagree about Jason.

I'm genuinely thrilled he's gone. It's would have been good to get someone on to replace him who would be critical but I completely disagree that he is like Craig R-H

Craig gives strict, harsh but true criticism and is always constructive. Jason was just an insultin arse and he knew/knows sweet FA about skating. If he'd have stayed in his lane and only commented on performance then maybe he'd have been ok but he outright insulted people's physical appearance and tried to critique the skating without having any knowledge.

That had more padding than my teenage bra.

@iklboo it always does drives me nuts but it's at it worst at this stage when they're in two halves.

Just started watching on ITV hub, I love ice skating, but I can never watch this as the adverts and padding drive me mad, but giving it another go this year.

I thought Joe was very good, lovely to see Stacey and baby Rex in the audience too.

I only compared Jason to Craig in that it's a bit boring without Jason as it would be without Craig on Strictly.

Aww i love H and Matt - apart from everything it stood for they genuinely have a great connection and they skated really well too.

I love Matt and H too, that was a fab routine.

I've just finished watching the recording. Loved Perri. I'm glad Jason has gone. He was really rude - never forgotten the way he had it in for Beth Tweddle every week.

We record it and fast forward through the guff. Brings it down to just over an hour.

Same. Great being able to fast forward through the ads and filler. I just want to see them fall over skate.

Loved H and Matt, they were really good! Representation matters!

Agree with PP about the pro skater/doctor, I used to skate and had many friends who had been professional skaters with Disney on Ice, Holiday on Ice etc for a few years before settling down and starting coaching. And plenty of coaches who also had full time jobs outside of skating.

Oh and full respect to Trisha! So much harder at her age and to get up and carry on after a fall is hard at any age.

Anyway, thought that H&Matt will go far for reasons beyond their ice skating (which was good!).
Perrie was great and I thought joe was pretty good too.
Looking forward to seeing Libby next week.

16 Ofcom complaints about H & Matt. I'd love to know exactly what they said and their (ha ha) reasoned arguments against them.

Really enjoyed it. Loved H and Matt, also think Lisa did well. Perri skated to a song I've used for a skate myself which was fun to watch. Knew he'd get high marks though, with his dance background. Loved the pro numbers.

Also, for @cricketmum84, I'm a visually impaired adult skater and it'll work just fine. Libby has a really good partner who knows what her sight is like, and will work with her to build trust and bring the best out of her.

My vision is good centrally but I've got about a 50 % reduction in peripheral vision. My coach knows this, as do the people I regularly skate with. There's a charity who run competitions tor skaters with a range of disabilities - I was at one this weekend, competing. Disability is no barrier with the right environment.

@LollipopViolet sorry I think my comment may have been misconstrued.

I'm not at all questioning how she will be able to skate and I agree that a disability is in no way a barrier.

I'm purely wondering about the dog 😂 as on the list of contestants is says her and her dog and I was wondering if they were going to get tiny paw sized skates for it!!

Oh don't worry, I'm not offended, I'm just used to having to challenge people who tell me I can't do stuff with a VI :) I do now have a wonderful mental image in my head of a guide dog in tiny skates 😂

For anyone interested, have a look at Inclusive Skating as there are many, many skaters challenging perceptions of what it means to have a disability :)

If the dog doesn't skate I'm going to be so disappointed 😂
