Gabby Logan went earlier than she should have done. She was quite competitive and the Strictly audience seems to prefer an improver rather than someone who starts strongly and wants to win.

ISTR it was one of those weeks where people had very clearly voted for the underdogs (probably including Anton and one of his duffers) leaving two reasonably good people in the DO, and her opponent was slightly better. For some reason I'm think she was up against Penny Lancaster, but I could be imagining that.

I have acquired a bottle of sherry at last.

And DH has bought me a third bottle of Co - Op gin, on the grounds that I drank the first two quite happily.

I think I will drink the sherry and the gin this evening while watching SCD Christmas Special.

I daresay I may regret this course of action though.

I will help you out with it all. I have been presented with some presence and a bottle of Chambord raspberry liquor ( YES!!!!!).

The Strictly Special seems very early this year.. not sure we'll be able to watch live, but looking forward to it!

Somebody has been at my baileys when they’ve been visiting sneaking it in a brew I’ll be bound
I don’t drink much but I would have had a good glug of that for strictly and midwife.

Still, I can be comforted with chocolate. Especially as I’m not famous enough to be on Strictly and I will never have to wear a leotard with sequins and fringes and bare my tree trunks for the nation.

I appear to have baileys fumes and little else. Of course the empty blardy bottle went back in the fridge with the coloured glass hiding the thievery.

The Courvoisier cream therefore will be all mine. Mines.

And I will be at the shops tomorrow for Baileys. And perhaps loaf.
