Just watched Princess Anne's presentation to Doddie Weir and his speech on the BBC iplayer with DH. DH also called him inspirational Raahh. He still retains a great sense of humour and I don't just mean his suits

Loved that Anne still had her hand bag over her shoulder, as always

The film is starting. Don't think I'll be able to stick it for too long. I can't take the actors seriously looking like they do!

Perhaps they should have used that de-aging technology like in The Irishman where they put the younger face of the actor on their current selves (if you know what I mean) - then they could have used the real Johnny Mac and Borg in the film

Well the fuse box tripped and switched the telly off. I should take it as a sign I'm not meant to watch it John said a lot of it wasn't true anyway!

I left it on but only watched in a half-arsed way. John was right about the tennis content being dire!

I've just seen your comments from last night- yes, I'm not sure they even mentioned the Unknown tennis player in relation to Rafa's RG win. But then, they don't know who he is. Maybe they thought he was a spectator.

I really can't believe the Medvedev thing went unchecked. I know it's a live show, but the voice over was scripted, so who wrote it?! Maybe she got mixed up with Dimitrov .

Thank you all- the update is- Kevin (or maybe Keith, I'm confused to be honest) has gone of his own accord, so after I was x rayed and screened with the strange machine (so I got to experience the table without the water bath bit ), they just sent me home. Which was nice. But as far as i can tell, I still have a stone- just not the one in my kidney.

Anyway, back for a scan on the 28th, so will see what that shows up (not sure why I only had x rays today really).

The fecking tree fell over again just as we were on the way out to DS's school play earlier - I think the tennis ball went under the couch I haven't dared re-enter the room as yet

I don't know if I can muster the energy to put it all back tbh - I suppose I'll have to!

Just this minute DH has said we need to get a tree because he saw one on Facebook and seemed to suddenly realise we don't have one yet

DH and DS are putting the tree back up. I'm steering clear of the entire area - it's like Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em in there

Years ago we had a real tree in a pot and it fell over - I was slightly hungover and just went back to bed and left it (this was before DCs) - don’t think I’d get away with that now.

Ah congratulations Jane I think there's a lot to be said for less is more when it comes to decorating (half the stuff I'd originally put on didn't get put back on the third attempt!).
