Did Denise actually have twins?

Does Daniel have a sibling?

x2boys · 14/01/2020 16:47

No his twin was the baby she miscarried , Daniel is the " Miracle baby"

Housewife2010 · 15/01/2020 06:44

So bored with the Vera / Vince Fontaine storyline. I think he has a look of Bradley Cooper.

Liverbird77 · 15/01/2020 09:21

@Housewife2010 YES! I hadn't thought before but now you've said it 100%!

MyOtherProfile · 15/01/2020 09:42

Remember when Eileen had an agony aunt column in some women's magazine?

Housewife2010 · 15/01/2020 12:25

Liverbird. I'm so pleased you agree with me. I thought everyone would think I was potty!

TreesRUs · 18/01/2020 17:06

What year do you think we’re at? 199....?

RavenclawWriter · 18/01/2020 20:25

Must be 1994, after March as Ivy has had her last appearance (with the lips)

x2boys · 18/01/2020 20:50

Yeah we are In August 1994

SapatSea · 18/01/2020 21:09

Eileen looks younger and slimmer now than back then!

MabelStark · 21/01/2020 19:26

Awwww I really want Bet and Charlie to live happily ever after 🥺

Housewife2010 · 21/01/2020 21:52

Eileen wasn't in it until 2000.

StillCoughingandLaughing · 21/01/2020 23:28

The actress who plays Eileen was in it last week playing a different part.

Charlie Whelan is like a joke of a character. He’d never fancy Bet. As for that hideous mid-Atlantic accent, it makes me want to fill his mouth with cement.

Housewife2010 · 22/01/2020 08:42

I didn't notice her. Charlie does have a great physique.

x2boys · 22/01/2020 09:00

I do .think he's an attractive .man though, apparently the actor who played him has a ranch in Texas or somewhere , might account for the odd hybrid accent ?

HollysTeflonSeptum · 22/01/2020 09:32

Can I join you?

I caught these repeats by accident one morning and felt all fuzzy, reminds me of being really young (1994/1995?) and watching with my mum while she was alive. I stopped watching when she died as it wasn't the same.

CanYouSmellMyCharlie · 22/01/2020 10:21

Welcome, HollysTeflonSeptum! Grin Glad you've found Classic Corrie.

I'm sorry you've only just discovered it.
You've missed some great years - every episode since about 1986 (we're in 1994 now) and it has changed quite a lot just in those eight years, in my opinion.

There are two other threads on here, before this one, that you will enjoy reading. They'll bring back lots of nice memories for you! Smile

HollysTeflonSeptum · 22/01/2020 11:00

Thanks CanYou :)

I'll definitely have a look at the older threads too.

CanYouSmellMyCharlie · 22/01/2020 12:13

You're welcome, HTS.

Hope you can track down the earlier threads - they date back to October 2017, when ITV3 started airing the episodes.

justthecat · 22/01/2020 15:35

Nicky and his mate smoking 😂 and I’m sure there’s more staff than customers in Bettabuys

x2boys · 22/01/2020 19:10

Yes because it you were going to have your first illicit fag as a teenager you would have it outside the pub where your parents and all your grandparents regularly go and is just across the road from your house 🙄

MrsSteveMcDonald · 22/01/2020 21:39

Nicky's a shit but his hair is coming along lovely, I am a sucker for curtains #stuckinthe90s

CanYouSmellMyCharlie · 23/01/2020 08:28

I wonder why it took Corrie so long to introduce an openly gay character?

Both Brookside and Eastenders did it in the 1980s, but it was 2003 before lovely Todd Grimshaw 'came out' as the first gay Corrie regular.

Given that the man who created Corrie was gay, and also many of the production team, it seems odd that it took so long Hmm

Especially in Manchester, of all places! The most fabulous place to be gay in the world 😍!!

StillCoughingandLaughing · 23/01/2020 08:37

Yes, it was a disgrace really. Although little-known fact, a storyline was planned way back in the late 60s for the character of Jerry Booth in which he had a gay affair. It was scrapped - along with plans for the street’s first black family - for fear of ‘alienating’ viewers. Jerry ended up as a love interest for Mavis which seems like enough to turn anyone.

CanYouSmellMyCharlie · 23/01/2020 08:54

🤣🤣🤣

Poor Mavis!
