I know Liz and Jim act and looks lot older ,I think it's the way Des,Dresses I used to go to clubs etc up till the age of 31_but no man wore a tie ,he would look a lot younger in jeans and a T shirt imo.

I think the 90s styling really dates all of them - people seemed a lot older at 40 back then. If I recall, Charlie Lawson (Jim) was actually even younger than the character; I think he’s only about 35 in these episodes

The moustache doesn't help ,I feel ,but yeah hes probably about the sam e age as the current day Tyrone,but looks a lot older .

Me too @eggandonion I was 22 and in the last few months of my nurse training ,I'm 46 now😥

You can really see that, in their early episodes, Judy and Gary were being groomed as the junior Duckworths - the new ‘worst family on the street’. I’m not sure when they were eventually toned down, but I think once the Battersbys were introduced they took the ‘worst family’ crown.

My kind of place! Our builder last ear was from Manchester, he spoke like a Corrie regular. We had great conversations, he was fluent and I spoke in fake Vera Duckworth.

Eggandonion 🤣🤣 I love just up the road, so they all sound normal to me 😂 my mum has a very thick accent and sometimes I do think "mum, you sound just like Vera Duckworth!'

Funny how we never saw Jack and Vera,s front room when they lived there but it's been shown twice now Judy and Gary have moved in🤔 why would you cook ,eat ,watch TV etc in one room,when you have a whole extra room

They had a bar, you're not going into another room if you have a bar. I'd love a snoop round rooms we never see.

True @eggandonion but they could have put the bar on the front room and made the back room into a kitchen/Diner ,it already had an oven and sink in it !

Jack did to sit in his vest with his tabloid (mirror I assume) at the table. I suppose the bar as handy. Hardly anyone uses a front room, wen we lived in a small terrace we used the front, the back room was dark.

I wonder why Vera went to Blackpool on a bus, when they've got a perfectly good car standing outside doing nothing?

Vera could've just driven herself to go and see Tommy, which would have been far simpler.

I know Jack said initially that he wasn't going to insure it for her to drive it, but I can't imagine Vera would put up with that for very long.

I wonder too @WheresThatCatGoneNow I also wonder why they make a big song and dance about it every time.they visit Our Tommy and have to stay over for a,few days, BLackpool must be about an hours drive away at the most

I'm only about an hour away from Blackpool myself (Lancs not Mancs) and I bet I would have to catch three separate buses to get from here to there.

God Derek is a horrible little man.

I don't remember him being quite as horrible. He was very controlling, and generally joy sucking. Mavis deserves better.

Well Audrey deserved that ,Derek is a pompous pillock but I do like him and mavis it's very well acted

Audrey was awful.

I hate that awful little chuckle he does. His attitude to Rita and referring to the Kabin as her little hobby was horrible. Nice to see he was so full of himself he didnt see how he was been manipulated by him

It's funny how you remember characters differently from when you saw them originally. I didnt remember him or Vera being so unpleasant
