Is there a thread already?

Me and dh are trying to work out why JC has got droopy eyes.....ptosis? Bell's palsy? Stroke?.....

Can't find one but if this thread is about facial features I might keep looking 😂

mummmy2017 · 19/11/2019 20:12

I see he bought the fence with him, poor JC can just not pick a side.

Inthemoment38 · 19/11/2019 20:13

He specifically isn't picking a side- he's putting the decision back to the public now we know more about what Brexit would mean.

MajesticWhine · 19/11/2019 20:15

Having a referendum didn't settle it the first time and divided the country. Why would a second one be any better?

manicinsomniac · 19/11/2019 20:16

I'm actually feeling really sorry for Jeremy Corbyn. I think he's speaking well but he's in an impossible situation - he can't commit to a side because his party and his supporters are split.

People are trying to make conservatives the party of leave and labour the party of remain. But a large proportion of labour voters are leave supporters and Corbyn can't afford to isolate them. He has no choice but to fence sit.

Lib Dem are the party of remain and they haven't been allowed to take part.

rainywinterday · 19/11/2019 20:16

@Noeuf 😂😂 sorry - just finding it really distracting!!

FantailsFly · 19/11/2019 20:17

Why should he ‘pick a side’ - he’s abiding by public’s (better informed) choice. We are not an autocracy, even if it seems that way.

MajesticWhine · 19/11/2019 20:18

Me and dh are trying to work out why JC has got droopy eyes

I think his glasses don't fit very well.

WellErrr · 19/11/2019 20:18

I love how Jeremy’s solution is another referendum, the result of which he would totally support.

Yeah right - like you do this one?? 😂😂

SouthWestmom · 19/11/2019 20:18

It's funny 😂 first thread I find looking for a bit of intellectual stimulation now the kids are all safely out the way.

Not sure if either of them are impressive. Boris just keeps talking. I did like Corbyn producing the redacted document.

forkfun · 19/11/2019 20:19

All Johnson does is lie. I'm not a fan of Corbyn, but the choice here is simple.

SouthWestmom · 19/11/2019 20:19

Hope they ask about the peerage deals

Inthemoment38 · 19/11/2019 20:20

@MajesticWhine We now know the public were seriously misled in the last referendum campaign and no one had any idea what an exit deal might look like. It was absolutely ill informed at best last time, and so close. And not that great a voter turnout.

Since the referendum we've had a general election... if we can vote again about our entire government we can vote again now we are informed about this one issue surely?

WellErrr · 19/11/2019 20:20

At least Boris answers the questions. I don’t think JC has given one straight answer yet.

Inthemoment38 · 19/11/2019 20:21

Boris gives answers but he is known to be a liar!

WellErrr · 19/11/2019 20:21

It’s so patronising to keep on with the ‘leave voters just didn’t know what they were voting for, bless them.’

mogloveseggs · 19/11/2019 20:22

Dh says Boris is blabbering Grin

longtimelurkerhelen · 19/11/2019 20:22

JC stance on brexit is of no importance, he is there to do the will of the people, his personal preference shouldn't matter. Present the facts, put to the people let them decide.

Me and dh are trying to work out why JC has got droopy eyes.....ptosis? Bell's palsy? Stroke?....

It was leaked back in July that JC had a mini stroke.

Inthemoment38 · 19/11/2019 20:22

But they were lied to @WellErrr

WellErrr · 19/11/2019 20:23

JC stance on brexit is of no importance, he is there to do the will of the people

The people have HAD their say.
What if Leave wins again (as the polls suggest it would)? Best out of five?

franke · 19/11/2019 20:24

I'm finding all the clapping really annoying.

Jellykat · 19/11/2019 20:25

Wouldnt believe a single word Boris utters..

.. and then we have the old chestnuts 'get Brexit done' 'take back control of our borders' blah blah blah..

FantailsFly · 19/11/2019 20:25

wellerrr People didn’t know what they were voting for - there was no negotiated deal on the table, so how could they?

minou123 · 19/11/2019 20:26

Has he said "oven ready " yet?
Could we start a drinking game?
