Logged in to expect this thread to be completely anti Corbyn/Labour, pleasantly surprised!
I'm disappointed Corbyn didn't go on the attack more, as there were some definite opportunities, but I know it isn't his style. I thought he came across as very confident and knew what he was talking, mostly answering the questions thrown at him. I imagine Johnsons aides will have told him to just stick to Brexit as its the only thing they can use against Labour and are after usable soundbites to use against Labour. It wasn't exactly entertaining and won't have changed anyones opinions, but really just hit home how much Labour are about helping people and wanting change compared to the Tories.
I actually agree with Labours way of not having a definite side to Brexit, I know it comes across as weak and 'dithering' but to me it makes sense to not alienate voters, as although Brexit is a huge issue, sorting out funding for schools, NHS etc is far more important in my opinion and this is what we should be voting for. I enjoyed him bringing out the redacted statement and wished he had fought harder to use it against Johnson.
I had also read that ITV didn't want to call the debate something like 'Tory/Labour' as it came across as too confrontational, which is weird as the actual title of the debate sounds like a boxing match.
I am not surprised at the Tories using the debate as another excuse for being dodgy, changing their twitter name to be deliberately misleading and quote things against Labour during the debate (changing their twitter name to factcheckUK).
Keep it up Corbyn/Labour!
