I don't understand, @shumway, is the music performed by the house band and singers in the style of those performers? Eg, Walking in Sunshine but not as performed by Katrina and the Waves?

The one listed is different (I googled it!) Appropriately, it is done in a "Latin American" style so Samba-ish.

Thank you Soup. I find I recognise less and less of the music. But the same goes for the slebs. When my parents used to say things like this I rolled my eyes at how ancient and out of touch they were....

Think Saffron could be in danger then - latin dances are not her strength and she clearly doesn't have much public vote and Emma has a ballroom which should mark high. So it depends on what Alex makes of the AT and Chris of the Paso Doble as to who she is in the dance off with (I am assuming Kelvin and Karim are safe).

I'm so pleased this is being used as a celeb dance, but I do wish it was used by someone else, like Karim instead of the musical abomination he had for a paso.

Going back to musical / dance choice... I would love to know whether it was actually Amy & Karims choice to do a couples choice Contempowaft this weekend.

With Kelvin doing Street commercial, I do wonder if they had a choice. Would be great to know when / how it's all decided though..

Huge reservations about Karim and Amy’s contempowaft. Ever since the Blackpool vt where they had him being a squeaky voiced toy in the machine, then he was lowered from the ceiling on a giant hook, I can’t take the pairing seriously. Poor Amy. DJJ last year, now this. I hope they give her a strapping sportsman or the soap star with hips next year.

I must admit, I went straight to Danny's VW when I read the song Alex was doing. It will be interesting how the AT goes - not that keen on Bishop Briggs version yes I saw 50 shades freed´* I prefer Paloma Faith's cover but the BB version is dramatic I guess, I just prefer something like Gotan Project. Still gutted we never saw Pamela and Shimmy Jimmy's proper. Am amazed that noone has ever recycled Peligro given that people only saw it on tour.
