I won't say anymore about Visagegate only that I felt sorry and glad for Joe

I also felt a smidgeon of envy of Ashley - Joe is beautiful!

Mrsjayy · 19/11/2019 10:47

I like Michelle but she really let herself down imo which is a real shame as Pp have said strictly is as camp as a row of tents and inclusive MV didn't need to save us with her message .

covetingthepreciousthings · 19/11/2019 10:48

I'm really worried about Karim doing a contempowaft... I was really looking forward to him doing a street commercial.

I don't know why him & Kelvin are both doing couples choice in the same week, and it did make me wonder if Kelvin & Oti got the pick first.. and Karim has ended up with contemporary as does seem a bit of an iffy choice for him.

Looking forward to seeing the music choices Glitterball

MaggieFS · 19/11/2019 10:50

I wish we could get some more behind the scenes info on how they choose who does what songs. In what order and to what music. Sometimes they wow you and sometimes they're rubbish. Also why repeat songs? There are so many out there!

Mrsjayy · 19/11/2019 10:56

I think Karim is doing contempawaft because poor Amy is knackered she wants to get her chiffon out and dance at a regular pace Grin

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 19/11/2019 10:59

It was a Viennese last week for Karim, so not really that slow! He needs to use the music more — rather than being bang on every beat, he needs to stretch some more to make more impact when he does move. I do think Amy should be able to hold him back a bit in some places — digging your nails into his arm usually gets their attention, I've heard.

I think that them all swapping and dancing same sex would be good (although it might be tricky with numbers). I think it would teach them all a lot — same sex Latin looks very different (with lots of very sharp side by side work), and having a chance to lead when you usually follow or vice versa would be good.

YES. Exactly this! I'd love a section on ITT about this.

NumbersStation · 19/11/2019 11:06

No bats that I could see last night.
I would imagine that they were in a huddle somewhere cosy as I think it was about -6. It is still about -3 and pretty nippy out.

Pray what is the lovely sounding bergamotty/minty spray about?

NumbersStation · 19/11/2019 11:12

I fear contempowaft - or any kind of waft - will not suit Karim. Can you get contempofrantic?

Samcro · 19/11/2019 11:18

i just think its odd that Karim hasn't has one of those slower dances like the rumba.

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 19/11/2019 11:18

These are from the universities' national competition a couple of years ago to compare. The ballroom doesn't look as different obviously, because you're still in closed hold!

Mrsjayy · 19/11/2019 11:22

You would have thought by now @Samcro it is almost as if the Bbc want a Bbc employee in the final Wink

OnlyTheTitOfTheIceberg · 19/11/2019 11:26

Indeed - my heart will always belong to Aljaz but blimey, Joe Varney looked hot as on the ITT sofa yesterday.

I'm so over Couples Choice, it just lets them dodge another 10 dance. Karim could get to the final having done nothing slower than a foxtrot - no rumba, no standard waltz - because I can see his CC being quite frantic and leapy. (And there's no way they're not going to do a jive, surely?) Plus I can't stand contempowaft, all mucky feet and chiffon danced like a GCSE Music and Movement class.

Mrsjayy · 19/11/2019 11:33

It is the feet I can't cope just put bloody shoes on !

NumbersStation · 19/11/2019 11:38

I hear you.
Corns, hard skin, feet sweat, fungus all being scraped along the floor. Ew.

Imagine being dramatically thrown on the floor during the following dance, skidding through all that with your face.

Cowk.

Mrsjayy · 19/11/2019 11:43

Oh myyy god Envy

NumbersStation · 19/11/2019 11:44

Sorry Blush

Mrsjayy · 19/11/2019 11:46

It is heave fine Grin that is precisely why you know SHOES!

SchadenfreudePersonified · 19/11/2019 11:55

Cheers ppeat - I have all of those oils. I'll get cracking.

Samcro · 19/11/2019 11:57

i hope Karim doesn't get to the final. seems unfair as he obviously has danced before and he just does one style.....FAST

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 19/11/2019 12:02

I'd be worried I'd slice my foot open on a sequin or stand on stones that had fallen off somebody else's dress!

It is basically a show dance danced early.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 19/11/2019 12:07

Pray what is the lovely sounding bergamotty/minty spray about?

It's an anti-vermin spray Numbers.

ppeat swears by it - we have got a rat using our garden as a thoroughfare probably to her-at-the-back's birdtable, as she has all sorts of goodies out, not just burned toast and an old crumpet from the back of the bread-bin.

Apparently the bergamotty/minty spray makes them turn their noses up and they take an alternative route.

ppeatfruit · 19/11/2019 12:16

Numbers It's an anti rat\mice\polecats spray. Grin To stop whatever uses our attic as a dance floor in the night , it works for approx 2 weeks . Much better than killing them though. They hate 'nice' smells. Tell their friends and go somewhere else!!

NumbersStation · 19/11/2019 12:33

Oh now that is interesting. I’ve no rats or mice (that I know of) but I will remember that one just in case. Thank you both Smile

I don’t like the thought of killing any creature - I’m all for the gentle persuasive method.

That said, I wonder if it will work on some of the ‘holes I work with... although one in particular merits a less merciful method...

MaggieFS · 19/11/2019 13:44

I don't know why I feel this and I feel a bit of a cow for thinking it, because I reckon she's lovely, but anyone else getting a bit bored of Amy's overexcitement?
