Checking in for later. I enjoyed Blackpool but agree that Tess'a strap was so annoying! I just wanted to fix it.

I love Michelle but I think she'll be in the dance off as that was crap. No dancing at all and what she did with her arms wasn't that good. Gio was fabulous though!

I thought Chris was brill and also Kelvin! Anton was funny with his KC comment. I don't know why but I can't take to Karim at all. Whilst he's a great dancer, I just don't enjoy watching him although I do love Amy.

Also don't like Alex and Neil together and much prefer her with Kevin. She was good though but would love Neil to slink off and leave her free to dance with King Kevin!

lynsey91 · 17/11/2019 13:17

I definitely think Michelle will be in the dance off. She was last week and she was second on the leader board. This week she is bottom and her dance was just awful.

I can't honestly see Chris in the dance off. I think he has a huge amount of support. He has been bottom or second from bottom a couple of times and not in the dance off. He is obviously not the best dancer but he is my favourite purely because of the joy he is getting from learning to dance. I also like his friendship with Karen and that he is so honest about being amazed to still be in the show.

I agree about the judges keep standing up. Darcey drove me mad doing it and I used to shout at the screen. Since she left Shirley has started doing it and Motsi and Bruno join in too.

I wasn't keen on Darcey at all and thought Motsi would be a good replacement but she isn't really. She never says anything constructive and just shouts every week

Thank you for the lovely new thread Tits.

I'm afraid I'm still hoping to see Saffron go - she has nothing to commend her as regards personality and her dances, while technically pretty good don't have anything in them that makes your heart lift.

A vole is new 'schaden Have had mice, rats, bats, snails and a frog but not a vole. Not envious.*

Sorry - that above was posted on the last thread, about someone thing non-dancing related and I can't recall who posted it - HOWEVER . . . .

I was filling the kettle and happened to glance up today and peering at me through the glass kitchen door was indeed a RAT.

It looked at me. I looked at it. We each backed away from the other and then ran!

I love pet rats - they are a delight. Wild ones are just disease-ridden bastards and I'm now going to have to was every bloody thing in the garden in case there's rat piss on it, and put some poison down in a place the dogs and cats can't reach, buggerit!

It seems that voles are merely gateway vermin to rats . . .

Encyclo · 17/11/2019 13:39

Oh God I HATE wild rats @SchadenfreudePersonified they absolutely terrify me. Hope the vole is long gone now

OnlyTheTitOfTheIceberg · 17/11/2019 13:57

Alex has made me like Neil! And while they’re still in, he doesn’t have time for that Nell des Jaunes nonsense on ITT.

I voted for Chris and Alex last night because they both make me smile and in a series blighted by injury porn and blatant producer manipulation, I’m enjoying watching two people genuinely loving their Strictly experience. I don’t think either of them will win - I’d be happy with a Kelvin win, not least because OTIWUZROBBED with Danny Mac - but he’d be likely to be saved in a DO with last night’s scores so didn’t need my votes yesterday.

I agree that if Michelle is in the DO she’s toast. I can’t see how that dance can keep her out TBH; even people who know something about voguing / that scene mostly thought it was crap and too static, so I can’t see how it would have won over those who didn’t get it to start with.

Bluffinwithmymuffin · 17/11/2019 14:06

I guess it could be Saffron and Michelle in DO then, bearing in mind Chris’s popularity, in which case I agree, Michelle is the dead parrot.

ElspethFlashman · 17/11/2019 14:07

Chris seems to have the whole country voting for him.

I don't even mind, I think he actually has good rhythm and good timing.

Just don't pay too much attention to his footwork! 😂

Quartz2208 · 17/11/2019 14:10

Yeah I think kelvin and Karin are at the top and therefore safe. Alex and Chris are too popular so it’s two of Saffron/Michelle/Emma

Emma must be safe though given her score.....

Karmadog · 17/11/2019 14:58

Anybody want to play “ Fantasy Strictly “?
We have to choose our pro, our dance and our music. I’ll start: Kevin, foxtrot, Richard Hawley’Tonight the Streets Are Ours’.

ilovesooty · 17/11/2019 15:01

I agree Michelle is nailed on for the dance off. Whoever is with her will be there for the first time so it will give us another bit of an insight into the voting.

iklboo · 17/11/2019 15:02

Good idea Karma

I'll have Viennese Waltz to Nothing Else Matters (Metallica) with Gio please.

Bluffinwithmymuffin · 17/11/2019 15:04

Oooh, fantasy Strictly. I’ve often heard something on the radio and thought this would be perfect for a waltz or whatever on Strictly, wonder why they haven’t done it... now my mind’s a blank. Grin

Theromanempire · 17/11/2019 15:09

Does anyone else think that Saffron is a bit vacant? There was a moment last night when the first judge gave their comments - think they might have been slightly negative - and she stood with a really vacant inane grin and no acknowledgement of the comment. Normally you get a nod or something but it's like she wasn't hearing it!

lynsey91 · 17/11/2019 15:17

I'll have Argentine Tango (my favourite dance) with Aljaz. I would have chosen Vincent as he is the AT master but he is far too short for me!

Not sure what music but something traditional or maybe El Tango De Roxanne. Loved the one done by Kristina and Simon Webbe

KitchenDancefloor · 17/11/2019 15:26

Lynsey - seeing as you got there first can we share?

I'd pick Aljaz and Argentine Tango too. Perhaps to a version of Skin and Bones by the Foo Fighters, stylised with traditional Argentine instruments. I'd also need to grow about 6 inches.

Samcro · 17/11/2019 15:26

Saffron is only 19 and tbh I don't think she is used to criticism. fair do's though at least she didn't cry like carim(or karim, )

Karmadog · 17/11/2019 15:28

Ooh El Tango del Roxanne! Excellent choice! Love that song❤️
Quite fancy a paso to Muse ‘ Supermassive Black Hole’ . Can’t decide who to do it with though. (It’s not as though they’re all queuing up!) Maybe Aliaz

Encyclo · 17/11/2019 15:36

Paso to Frank Ferdinand take me out with, (and I'm surprising myself here), KKFG.

I've found some real love for Kevin lately.

Bluffinwithmymuffin · 17/11/2019 15:40

Samcro

Saffron is only 19 and tbh I don't think she is used to criticism...

That’s my take on Saffron too. I noticed a slight frost in her eyes when one of the judges criticised her last night, but she recovered quickly, to her credit. Don’t think she doesn’t get it, she’s just more accustomed to undiluted approval and struggling to contain her disappointment when it doesn’t go her way.

OnlyTheTitOfTheIceberg · 17/11/2019 15:44

Viennese Waltz, Aljaz, Kiss Me by Sixpence None the Richer

UncleMatthewsEntrenchingTool · 17/11/2019 15:51

@Karmadog my favourite pro dance ever was a Halloween all male paso from (I think) 2010 m.youtube.com/watch?v=BDbA3VUgWso&list=WL&index=5&t=0s

lynsey91 · 17/11/2019 15:51

@KitchenDancefloor yes of course we can share Aljaz! I would be so terrible he would probably be relieved to dance with someone else.

UncleMatthewsEntrenchingTool · 17/11/2019 15:52

@Karmadog to Supermassive black hole - May have omitted this important info from first post 🙄

FuzzyPuffling · 17/11/2019 15:59

You have rats in your garden Schady?
I see your rat and raise you SIX SHEEP! There was some sort of escape last night and a gang of the woolly marauders ran up our close. We have sheep poo on the lawn and hoof marks in the gravel. And a few chewed plants.

FuzzyPuffling · 17/11/2019 16:00

Fantasy dance; please may I have a Viennese Waltz with Ian Waite?
