Trevor under the patios! The prime-time lesbian kiss between Margaret and Beth Jordache. Jimmy Corkhill on crack. those were the days eh eh!

Surfermum · 19/08/2007 22:46

Yes!

What about the brother and sister who sleeping with each other and ran off together.

TotalChaos · 19/08/2007 22:47

oh yes, Nat and Georgia. And their mum slept with a young lad and end up down the STD clinic and having to fess up to an irate hsuband. it's all coming back now!

Pinkchampagne · 19/08/2007 22:47

I used to really like it, but towards the end it went right downhill.
I loved it in the good old days of Trevor under the patio etc though!

Surfermum · 19/08/2007 22:49

Was it Jackie Dixon and the turkey baster? Got pregnant and for Max and ...?? for a few thousand quid.

Tatties · 19/08/2007 22:49

I don't miss it now but at the time I LOVED it. Especially the Beth Jordache era. But then it all got a bit far-fetched after a while and I couldn't watch it any more

Pinkchampagne · 19/08/2007 22:50

I used to watch the omnibus on a Saturday before getting ready to go out on the town...they were the days!

WanderingTrolley · 19/08/2007 22:51

Barry's mate with the bad perm who married that woman who shagged Barry and was pregnant with Barry's baby and had to tell - TERRY! that was it - him that it was his baby but Barry knew all along and then when he found out there was a row and Terry fell off some scaffolding that he was up for some unfeasable reason, fgs he was probably an accountant, and then he died.

WanderingTrolley · 19/08/2007 22:52

5:05pm Channel 4

Pinkchampagne · 19/08/2007 23:06

I knew it was 5ish but couldn't remember to the exact minute! You have a very good memory, WT!!

threelittlebabies · 19/08/2007 23:29

Well now that you mention it- yes a bit! Anyone remember how it all ended?

Biglips · 19/08/2007 23:30

it all blew up!!

mishmash · 19/08/2007 23:49

Was one of my favourites - 20 years ago!!!

noddyholder · 19/08/2007 23:51

it was the king of soaps

MrsWeasley · 19/08/2007 23:52

I was a watcher when barry and Terry got beaten my by McArdle. Early Early days

WanderingTrolley · 19/08/2007 23:55

Yesss!

And when the Jacksons were at number 5 (I think) - and was her off Letter To Brezhnev in it then?

AnnainNZ · 20/08/2007 00:01

And tghe mad cult with Simon the leader - with the crazy stare-y eyes. Think Katie Dixon got involved in that one.

Loved it best in the early days - the Grants were the best. And the Corkhills a bit later. Barry Grant was a bit of all right, if a little bit of a rough diamond...

trackerc · 20/08/2007 22:54

It was brilliant.
Loved it. Terry & Barry, then Damon & Debbie (stabbing made me cry) 'Free George Jackson', the seige, gizmo mate of damon, Gordon being gay, the collins' mad mother, harold & ralph & edna, the whole grant family, matty suicide, julia brogan, jonathan & the canadian girl, 'casabevron', jacqui dixon, .... I am seriously reminiscing now!
It got bad very late on but I remember when Ray Quinn was in it (now he was a great actor), tinhead & emily sagas, the shadwick dad (yum)
People I hated for bad acting - the jordaches, the chinese family, sue sullivan, chrissy rodgers, the priest,
Saturday omnibus was a great weekend bonus.
The more I think about it the better it gets!!!
