Oh and Sheila Grant and Billy Corkhill finally getting it together... sigh.

Dinosaur · 24/08/2007 20:57

Dinosaur · 24/08/2007 20:57

Oh God they did didn't they? I'd forgotten that!

beansprout · 24/08/2007 20:59

We thought we were particularly witty as it was back in the days when PCAS, who you had to apply to, to go to Polytechnics, still existed.

Student humour is so tragic sometimes.

policywonk · 24/08/2007 20:59

beansprout, that really is utter madness.

beansprout · 24/08/2007 21:00

Tutter · 24/08/2007 21:00

[finger on pulse of tv programming]

We used to watch it in the bar at college; the barman used to nick the Library telly and bring it down and stick it on the bar counter. And refuse to serve anyone except us while it was on. It was the same for EastEnders and Corrie. He liked his soaps, he did.

southeastastra · 24/08/2007 21:05

no don't think it's on anywhere. was billy married to the really thin red headed woman on went on to be a nun?

I'm guessing that beansprout will know her name.

southeastastra · 24/08/2007 21:07

OP posts:
Dinosaur · 24/08/2007 21:08

Billy was married to Doreen.

beansprout · 24/08/2007 21:09

And they had little Jimmy Corkhill, who went on in the fine family tradition of class A drug addiction of course.

southeastastra · 24/08/2007 21:10

yes that's him! the actor changed didn't he

OP posts:
Dinosaur · 24/08/2007 21:10

wasn't Jimmy a brother, rather than a son? or am I barking?

ledodgy · 24/08/2007 21:10

No Billy and Doreen's children were Rod and Tracey it was Ron dixon's children that were Jackie and Mike.

beansprout · 24/08/2007 21:11

check this out

ledodgy · 24/08/2007 21:11

Yes Jimmy was Billy's brother and jackie Corkhill was Jimmy's wife/ex wife.

beansprout · 24/08/2007 21:11

I;m thinking of Jimmy Corkhill's son.
Sorry.

Billy and Doreen had Rod the Plod.

ProfYaffle · 24/08/2007 21:12

I did Media Studies A Level and we had a field trip to the Brookie set. It was at the time when Mick stayed in Harry Cross's bungalow, Harry was away and left notes for Mick all over the house, when we visited the notes were stuck all over the set and the pond was filled in where Mick's son nearly drowned.

[saddo emoticon]

policywonk · 24/08/2007 21:12

Was Rod a bit tasty, or was that just my hormones?

2mum · 24/08/2007 21:13

And Jacki and Mike Dixon also had a younger brother that died. And Mike Dixon had a abby called josh with Bev who thought it was rons! his dads! Its confusing!!!
