I seem to remember gio didn't speak much English at all when he was partnered with Georgia.

@covetingthepreciousthings Plus I do sometimes wonder if there is ever an issue with the language barrier, both between partnerships and also during interviews. I sometimes think Gio & Gorka seem less fluent then say Aljaz or Pasha. If you get what I mean. Which might then make for interviews seeming a bit off?

good point. Two of my nieces are Italian and they always say "I wish you could hear us in Italian, we're hilarious". Maybe that's it.

There was an interview with Johannes in one of the magazines I buy for my DM - Hello maybe? - anyway he was talking about his background which was very poor, and his mum who raised him pretty much alone, and who supported him in the face of a lot of discrimination and rejection. He was so thrilled to be on SCD and overwhelmed by the support and acceptance he's had. Looks like he's been pretty much adopted by Catherine whatsername's family.

Oh, and he's very keen to get a dance with Duchess Meghan, who was apparently a massive hit in S.A.

I thought he looked pale (hardly any make up compared to Michelle and Rylan) but also tired. Like a bit sicky looking. Maybe he’s just knackered.

From what I have read on digital spy about it, she cleared her schedule for it then was told last week via email that she wouldn't be taking part. Apparently hasn't been treated very well over the issue if it's to be believed that is. I think she's thrown a pissy Gorka and started 'liking' tweets on the issue too..

I guess they know that she’s getting zero votes and have come to the conclusion that she won’t be a big draw for the paying public. The tour is a ruthlessly capitalist enterprise.

Yeah she’s made it quite clear on Twitter that she’s “desperate” to do the tour. So it seems weird she’s not been booked. Especially as she could potentially go on to win, then theyd have a tour without the winner

I imagine they only take people that they want to represent the strictly brand on the tour as previously discussed here her attitude is different to the rest. Naked competitiveness is honest but it’s not British/on brand!

Michelle is definitely my favourite - she'd be a reason I went to watch the tour. Gushy Catherine puts me right off and Mike is just meh, whereas Michelle is fabulous!

I can understand Catherine being asked to do the tour - Craig will probably have chosen their rumba and charleston as their dances.
But Mike is an... interesting choice. Unless Craig despite hating it is using him for audience participation for that goddawful samba.
How much do they get paid or do their agents command different fees?
If they have Kelvin (tango, samba) Karim (quickstep, salsa) Saffron (waltz, smooth) and Chris (rumble, jive) then that's 6 couples right there. They usually have 6-7 couples, don't they? maybe they're going for Alex rather than Michelle.

If they've rejected Michelle from the tour, they're bloody fools.

Saffron will get teens in buying merch, understandable.
Tony Beak never does Craig's tour so having Emma there when she hasn't done much of wow factor is a bit of an anomaly.
Will cannot do it with Janette so maybe her and Aljaz are backing dancers or are doing their own thing.

Chris is probably busy; they've rushed out a comedy tour for him for next year (with a 'Currently starring in Strictly Come Dancing!' strapline).

Michelle… yeah, odd decision if it was the tour's decision and not hers.

I enjoyed the Remembrance Day Dance, nice not having the screaming audience too .

It'll be interesting seeing Michelle (I'm not a dancer') doing Voguing. I get the feeling that Joe and her aren't that happy together. IMO his Italian stallion image is a bit threatened by her.

Giovanni put a lovely response up on Michelle's insta, they seem tight. I hope The Scum
aren't on here reading our musings and extrapolating from that.
