Emma B & Anton were on, both looked relaxed and comfortable in each other's company I thought, so maybe all is not too bad in that pairing.

I haven't watched it yet, but does this mean that Neil is still out of action? I'm worried he won't be up for dancing on Saturday, it's the jive isn't it?

The Pump Up The Jam Charleston? I thought that was excellent, I rewatched it the other night & think it was more her style. Yes I agree, I think she vastly improved from that point.

And let's face it - everybody should be improving just because they have been dancing for a while, now.

She might have done just as well with Neil.

It must be easier for KFG though, because he is used to teaching a partner (and to be fair is a good teacher) - poor Neil must be just about starting from scratch and on a learning curve himself.

In DWTS Ireland they do a partner swap at around the mid-point, so when all the real duffers have already gone. Everybody improves with their new partner, and then they improve again when they go back to their original partner. It's a really noticeable difference.

That's interesting Black - I suppose it stops them becoming complacent, because when you dance with someone all of the time things come predictable and you can't see your weaknesses. (A bit like proof-reading your own work - you're likely to miss stuff because you know what you intended to write.)

I quite like that idea Black, wonder if the producers will consider it here? It would be interesting to see the dynamics.

The way that they do it is that they do the pros best dance when they swap, so if the pro is a latin champ for instance they will do a cha cha or salsa. So in a way the improvement could be down to the fact that the pro would teach their strongest dance the best, it's also a week without 'weak' dances like rumba and samba (as far as I can remember). What's interesting is that they almost all improve again when they go back to their regular pro.

Nobody leaves on the week with the new pro, the scores are combined with the following week when the celebs are back with their regular pro. I think just to avoid awkwardness, the pros don't want their celeb to be eliminated but they definitely don't want to be responsible for losing another pro's celeb.

Tonight's ITT was good, I enjoyed it.

Am gutted that I missed seeing Oti and Kelvin yesterday - she's posted a video on her Instagram of them being at a train station where she was conducting a band - I was there yesterday and saw that band playing! I'm now wondering if they were actually there when I walked past but I was so wet, tired and pissed off at that point, I wasn't really paying attention 🤦🏽‍♀️ 🤦🏽‍♀️

"Coping" isn't the same as doing her best though.

She will do her best But s she did for Ghostbusters. He's a professional and he will know his limits, what's best for him and his partner at this stage. So I'm sure the correct decision will be made.

You're missing my point.

Everyone else has trained with the same person all week and will perform with that person. She deserves the same, regardless of whether Neil is suddenly fit enough to dance on Saturday. If he'd been fit enough at the start of the week, fair enough. It's too late now IMO.

Alex has been dancing with both Neil & Kevin this week (from the sounds of what was said on ITT last night, he has started dancing again but just needs to be signed off by physio for Saturday), so I think it's perfectly fine for her to dance with Neil if he's OK for Saturday.

He's been in the training room & choreographed the dance, and I think Alex would be pleased to have him as a partner on Saturday.

Bit jealous, friend of mine was in Blackpool yesterday and had her photo taken with Aljaz. She had no idea who he was, she doesn't watch Strictly, just decided to get a photo as she assumed there was a reason the cameras where there.
