I have a conspiracy theory that the voting actually led to a Katya - Neil dance off and they were desperate to avoid it so put Michelle into the dance off instead on the basis that she would easily be safe.

I thought Michelle's dance was a bit creepy, a bit Norman Bates and mom. Androgynous black suits her far more.

That was the best last dance ever! And great final words from Mike.

I'd never heard of Michelle before this series and I really like her. I like her attitude, I like her commitment and I like that in training she has hair scraped back, no make up and is there almost sleeves rolled up to get the job done.

I'd also never heard of Saffron before and find her a bit beige. Not unpleasant but just not very exciting. Also never heard of Chris and I think he's fab, again, down to earth, sincere and not gushy. And Karin, who annoys me with the heart hands!

What this series really has made me realise is that in the last I've got annoyed about ringers doing well, actually I don't care if people are ringers if I like them and they're not gushy!

Conspiracy theory is pants because Neil and Katya are still friends and still dance together professionally as partners. Am sure they can handle being in the dance off together. Regardless, it's just a nonsensical theory.

No evidence for my (stupid) theory whatsoever. It’s just noticeable that Neil and Katya are rarely anywhere near each other. More so than Kevin and Karen who are also getting divorced but still talk to each other.

Still seems very unlikely that someone can go from second place to dance off. I know it happens but usually to the particularly annoying, much more annoying than Michelle who is much nicer than I was expecting her to be.

People really do analyse every body movement dont they. Everyone is different. Everyone handles break ups differently. Kevin and karen didnt have such a "public" break up. Both are in new relationships now. It doesn't always have to mean anything.

It is a huge drop but someone on Dig Spy worked out the permutations and there were a couple, mainly Chris having a strong public vote and Michelle not, as people thought she was safe, no ties, hated the theming and make up etc
I think producers like pitching people against each other so Kev vs Karen vs Joanne before Will Young dropped out.
I think they may view a DO between say Aljaz and Janette as tantalising.
Katya and Neil being in the DO would only have been awkward because of Motsi's affair comment. No way on earth would the BBC rig the actual vote of their Saturday night flagship TV show. It would killl the show and It's their biggest money spinner overseas. it's got to be squeaky clean.

Mike was the right choice. He's the weakest by some way although I did quite enjoy his last dance. Also loved the conga line farewell. A nice change from the weeping and carrying on like somebody has died.

Yup, just caught up on iPlayer; definitely was Mike's time to go.

He comes across as a genuine person and I'm glad he's enjoyed his time on the show.

That's quite weird. Nothing to do with his dancing? I think his expressions are hilarious, much more fun to watch than everyone else. I like his whole approach to Strictly - he takes it seriously and tries hard whilst being under no illusions about his abilities, and he has a great relationship with Karen.

I am being harsh, but I just think he's trying to look comedic and find it just annoying.

Although I'm happy for him to stay if it means more Karen.

If you listen to his podcast he absolutely is not doing it on purpose. He just has no poker face at all!
