I think it’s time for Anton to be replaced. I get he may have a huge fan base but seriously he is the worst partner for the female celebs.
There is no female professional equivalent of Anton.
The brilliant Arlene was sacked purely on ageist, sexist grounds whilst Len was kept on.
Non of the male celebs have to dance with a much older , charisma less female pro, not one.
I was cringing for Emma last week . How on earth could she muster up any sort of smouldering sensuality with Anton, she was even towering above him,
I bet Michelle is heaving a huge sigh of relief she wasn’t partnered with him.
I’ve thought for a while now it’s not just the celeb at fault with Anton, I think must take some of the blame.

I saw Anton IRL once and he is taller than you'd think (and I'm 5' 10") and surprisingly handsome. It just doesn't seem to come across on telly.

Agree that Emma and Anton's dance seemed to miss the mark. It seems like it could have / should have been great and yet it wasn't. I think she'd be amazing if she were with Kevin.

Also prefer Alex with Kevin than Neil - Neil seemed like he completely out danced her whereas Kevin seems to show off his partners and really knows how to showcase them.

I was loving Kelvin but have gone right off him now. Not sure why but he's not my cup of tea anymore!

I just don’t get what was going on with Emma B’s dance - they both looked like they forgot parts of it, Anton in particular looked behind and like he was trying to catch her up a few times. I don’t know what the judges were seeing

My guess is that there was so much criticism from the Twitterati regarding Shirl's ("I-don't-have-favourites") obvious vindictiveness towards Emma B and Anton, that she's backpeddaled pretty damn smartest.

Things I disliked:
Choreography on Alex’s dance, I dunno why. Still think she’s fab though and hope she gets a lot farther in.
Karim still getting a decent score despite the myriad of obvious faults and the horrendous over-rise? Ah, probably the nerves….the B word…and the tears…and the B word…

Dreary Barton VT, where was the training? Instead we got a Granny/grandpa sob-a-rama. And the dance? Overmarked and should have been better given she’s been in a Fosse show.

Saffron’s frocky horror, thinking someone in wardrobe just mashed two old frocks together.

Bottom two for me are Mike and Emma, I think if Mike is in the bottom two he's gone this time.

Really didn't enjoy Emma & Anton's dance last night and I don't mind a bit of Fosse. One of them was out of time - and it was overmarked. Karim was as well. Didn't get the 'it must be nerves' comment. It's not week one. Agree with pp that he only has one level / style with no light & shade. He was bouncing up and down like Skippy on steroids.

I think Mike will be in the bottom two again. If he is he might be in trouble this week.

I genuinely think if Chris can keep himself out of the bottom two on a sunday he can get to final. If he's in a DO I think judges would send him home so he has to avoid that otherwise I think he will beat Michelle to final three (other two being Kelvin and Karim), would love Alex to be in the final but think she will just miss out.

I really don't want to see Chris get to the final.

Last night I thought it became glaringly obvious that there is now a gulf between Chris/Mike on one side and everyone else on the other. I know they both try hard, and I particularly admire Mike for not moaning and for managing to stay so positive, but they are clearly the duffers now.

I want Alex to continue to do well but I agree with KurriKawari that she'll 'only' make it to the quarters or semi.

I'd like Michelle to win.

Not going to spoil it for my people, but the BBC really need to do a rethink about the Sunday live result as it's popped up twice on different social media already.

Didn't they use to do it all on Saturday? I'd vote for that being reinstated.

Didn't they use to do it all on Saturday? Yeah, they did, for a couple of seasons I think? I quite liked it but it did mean there was a weird hiatus while you waited for the results show if you have no life like me

I hope they don’t get rid of the dance off again. Agree that they should show whole thing on Saturday night, then repeat an edited version of results/dance off etc on Sunday evening for anyone who missed it and those of us stupidly obsessed enough to watch it again
