Anyone watching? Helen Hunt appears to have an entirely new face.

I enjoyed this series.

I agree with pp that some of it was a bit unbelievable(Kasias brother making it such a distance on foot).

I hope Kasia and Harry survive and get back to UK. That will be interesting with the whole family living in the family home. Robina will love it. :)

Will look forward to another series.

I've come to find this thread to find out what happened. I wasn't around last Sunday and have been searching on catch up for the next episode, as I've enjoyed the series, but thought I just couldn't find it.

What was the point in that? I don't think I've ever been so cross about a series ending. Why not just add whatever is going in S2 on the end and have more than 7 episodes? It just stopped dead.

I agree with this ^
Ridiculous ending. Like it just got cut off half way through a sentence.

I still don't understand why they sent Harry over there in the first place - the resistance didn't need 'rescuing' - maybe drop in more supplies , but I can't see what he was supposed to do.
Mind, when Kasia and others first arrived at the hut it just looked 'wrong' the way all the resistance fighters came ut and spread themselves out in a line like infront of a firing squad. Then they did it again when Harry arrived - it was pretty clear what was happening when the lorry arrived. Surely they were all too experienced / cautious to behave like that Confused

Totally agree with everyone about Lois too - no way would she have been allowed to continue singing whilst obviously pregnant, even before you factor in being unmarried. Her 'maternity clothes; also completely wrong, and, to be honest I'm not a stickler for detail usually - just like some nice 'easy watching' on a Sunday evening, but that really stood out.

Mostly though, I'm cross about it just 'stopping'.

For anyone interested in true life stories from a woman's perspective during the 2 WW in the Netherlands, I would really recommend books by Etty https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Etty_Hillesum and there was one that came out a few years back by Bart van Es'The Cut Out Girl'.

Only up to ep. 4 so far but crikey even I could predict Lois was going to be having a baby whilst Harry is married to Kasia.

Love Sean, Lesley M and Zofia. They steal the show. Lois' brother not bad either. Harry is just, well, very handsome.

Harrowing to see how the Nazis began disappearing children with disabilities. Though, as the Dr pointed out, they had borrowed the idea.

Season 2 is finally being filmed and slated for release on PBS in October. I'm surprised they haven't had to recast Kasia's little brother as he'll have shot up in the almost 4 year gap! Perhaps there will be a time jump. Most of the cast are returning (but looks like no Sean Bean - I liked his character).
