I haven't really watched as much this year, and I'm not sure why. Again, it must have something to do with the schedule.

I find the men's doubles final being on a Friday a bit odd.

I definitely haven’t watched as much this year. And this is only my second time posting on this thread.

I just popped on to see if there was any chat about Bianca! Being Canadian I’ll be cheering for her & the media over here are going crazy.

Although it would be nice for Serena to break the record - but why is it only a so-called record?

Hearts ah Canadians must be so proud of her!! I saw Trudeau tweeted in support of her i really hope she has a good crack at it. I watched a bit of the replay from her match yesterday - just the last few games. She seems pretty steely.

Re the "so-called record" that's just me being annoying

It is the official record, but I just think Margaret Court won so many of those Australian open titles in the pre-Open era, when hardly any of the other players travelled to Australia, so there was little competition, and they make up the bulk of her titles. So I just don't think it's a fair comparison to what Serena is doing now (or what Steffi did either). So I think Serena is already really the record-holder, iyswim.

PS my DS came home from school earlier and said they were getting "a visit from a Greek god" at school next week

I’ve definitely not watched as much of the US Open this year - the only live match I’ve seen was the Rafa/Chung match which wasn’t particularly exciting - I think I saw Stefanos losing as well

Not sure if the matches have been on later this year? Rafa is due on at 11pm tonight but will probably be much later. I’ll be lucky if I get to see the Medvedev/dimitrov match at 9pm.
