Cincinnati finals tomorrow... Meanwhile Andy Murray travels to Winston Salem (by car ) today...

Ooh Medvedev!! He was a set and 4-3 down and came back to win!! Brilliant - going to try and watch a bit of the replay.

I think Goffin beat Medvedev at Wimbledon this year didn't he? Great opportunity for both of them!!

And in the women's, Kuznetsova has made the final - beating Ash Barty on the way, that's a pretty good story as well.

She plays Madison Keys - I like both of them as well. That should be a good final.

I woke up in the early hours and saw that Medvedev had won. Very pleased with that, especially coming back the way he did.

He's now beaten Djok twice twice this year. So he's got to be feeling pretty good about that.

What was Delpo up to to?!

(All i kept thinking was, for a big bloke, he's got really skinny legs).

And the emerging from the water bit was funny.

What we need now is for Djok to become even more elusive ( I.e disappear) for the US Open.

Maybe he's wondering what 'player at large' Roger and his BFF Rafa are plotting behind his back. It's probably putting him off his game. Again.

Yay well done Medvedev - I went to bed when Djok won the first set and just assumed that he’d win the match - brilliant!

I’m imaging Roger (Player at Large) sneaking up behind Djokovic and tapping him on the shoulder - Rafa and roger plotting against him is probably making him nervous - hopefully it will put him off his stride just before the us open.

Just watched the last 2 sets. Medvedev was brilliant - Djok played well. But Medvedev was just hitting massive serves and returns - Djok seemed to sort of lose his rhythm as there weren't really any long rallies.

Djok gave Medvedev the thumbs up at the net - I think he just accepted he was blasted off court, basically.

Good point about the Player At Large and his BFF - could be playing on Novak's mind.

I've now got an image in my head of Fed dressed as Inspector Clouseau.

Sneaking around Flushing meadows , and whispering to Rafa behind hotdog stands.

If I dream about Rafa dressed a giant hotdog, then I will know I've finally lost the plot.

Well, that was a result I didn't expect when I went to bed last night! Well done Medvedev.

I watched Medvedev and he was good but Djok didn’t seem too be playing great. I thought he looked unhealthy but that’s my thing about him. Have a steak!

It's an awful video isn't it Adelie - but in sort of a good way!

I thought Djok looked annoyed/rattled in the third set but he seemed to be playing ok. I liked his kit as well

When I tuned in earlier Amazon were showing Mark Petchey doing a Tsitsipas-style "vlog" on the tourist highlights of Cincinnati

It looks very hot and humid - Petch looked as if he was going to melt - too much gallivanting around obviously

Jane she does - I saw some other pics of her in 1930s style tennis clothes and a wooden racquet - she looked amazing, like Ava Gardner in those pictures of her playing tennis!!

Goffin has just broken back in the first set. It does look humid Fizzy - poor Petch looks like he's feeling the heat a bit!

Medvedev is so kind of ungainly in the way he plays, but also good to watch - why is that?!

I'm not sure about Goffin's shirt. It looks like he's wearing a hi-vis vest over a dark t-shirt

Although that's the least of his worries atm. He needs to get it together sharpish, or Jack is going to get his hands on that vase!!

Well that was a bit meh. Goffin seemed to make loads of mistakes, they kept getting into weird rallies and Medvedev kept winning them

Goffin had 15-40 on Medvedev's serve when he was serving for the match but no joy.

Ah well, it makes a nice change for someone new to win a masters, so that's one thing.

Hope Medvedev likes his big ugly trophy

That is one ugly trophy. I mean, ugh!
Goffin could have done more. And I don't like it when a player just goes for big serves to finish off a match. They all do it, if they can, but doesn't mean I like it.
We're off to Majorca tomorrow! Not Rafa's bit of the island though, sadly.

Well,I was all set to watch.

And fell asleep about 5 minutes before it.
Need to get my act together before the US open starts.

Well done to Medvedev. It is good to see a new face winning. Of course, I wouldn't have wanted him to beat Rafa!
