She was amazing. Love her and she’s so right.

jewel1968 · 13/08/2019 23:02

Love her acting too. Keeping it real!

longtimelurkerhelen · 13/08/2019 23:03

@nowifi I think there are 3 episodes.

icelolly99 · 13/08/2019 23:04

Thanks for the reminder; want to watch this. Will find on catch-up.

MyOtherProfile · 13/08/2019 23:18

She's brilliant. That programme ought to be compulsive viewing for teen-agers everywhere.

HelenaDove · 13/08/2019 23:26

All these procedures. How can they be bothered to go to all the appointments. What a chore. I couldnt be arsed. I have a chin wax every 4 weeks and my roots done and hair cut every 5 weeks and attending these appointments feels like a bit of a chore at times.
i couldnt have loads of beauty appointments to go to. And no way could i afford it all anyway.

MyOtherProfile · 13/08/2019 23:28

Compulsive? Compulsory!

mumbunforever · 13/08/2019 23:29

Kathy is absolute gold!!

Persea · 13/08/2019 23:30

Love her and a great programme.
Her “a vajacial - fuck off” and the Gwyneth Paltow’s steaming hole comments were just amazing!

SingingSands · 13/08/2019 23:59

Watching on +1

Great programme. What's wrong with a hairy fanny?

NurseButtercup · 14/08/2019 07:28

What's wrong with a hairy fanny?

The normalisation of watching porn = unrealistic/unrelatable body expectations including no pubic hair should ever be seen. It's ridiculous.

Fluffythrows · 14/08/2019 07:56

Ohhh must watch this, I love Kathy Burke. Hope it's on catch up.

Mrsjayy · 14/08/2019 09:19

I watched her but have recorded it will watch with Dd. I loved her fuck offs Grin

BigSandyBalls2015 · 14/08/2019 11:22

Loved this, watched it with 18 year old DD who had never heard of her and is now a massive fan.

mogtheexcellent · 14/08/2019 11:35

I love Kathy. Shes great on Twitter (so is James Dreyfus for that matter).

Mrsjayy · 14/08/2019 11:36

Dd is home today we will watch it tonight and she better love Kathy as much as I do ! Dd has girls on her facebook who all look the same and the lips are huge it is such a shame young women do this to themselves.

TremblingFanjo · 14/08/2019 11:48

She was on Women's hour last week talking about this - she sounded brilliant.

ViciousTrollop · 14/08/2019 11:57

Haven't watched the show yet and have always had a lot of time for Kathy but I was a bit 🙄 at this excerpt from her guardian interview the other week

"With trans people, I just think you can’t help the way you are born, though. You know, it’s DNA, it’s genetics. I’m just glad people can do things about their own happiness. I think this thought process that they’re trying to wipe out women is a bit ridiculous – it’s a minority of people.”

Will definitely watch though.

CaptainMyCaptain · 14/08/2019 13:35

Watching it now. She's very kind to the women she talks to.

JSSB · 14/08/2019 13:57

I honestly can't stop thinking about this show. I feel like it's one of the most important pieces of television for women in years. I absolutely loved her and the way she spoke with everyone with such compassion. I'm going to start encouraging everyone to declare themselves a wonderful human being Grin

roundtable · 14/08/2019 14:03

I saw some of it - happened across it with dh.

It was brilliant. Great combination of funny and thoughtful. We need more Kathy Burke back on tv.

BlancheBeachcomber · 14/08/2019 14:12

Fantastic programme. I agree tho that those who need to see it likely won't.

cushioncovers · 14/08/2019 14:30

Gimme gimme gimme is still one of my favourite comedy's.

CaptainMyCaptain · 14/08/2019 14:33

I think she was close to tears when she went back to see the young woman who had had the boob job. So upset that her whole sense of self-worth depended on likes for her SM posts. How did we come to this?

rosegoldwatcher · 14/08/2019 15:11

Thanks OP for the heads-up, I had no idea this was on. Just watched it - she was amazing and I feel quite emotional now.
I am no stranger to makeup, push-up bras and hair dye but feel so sad that the current generation of young adult women are 'made' to feel that without the perfectly shaped eye-brows, eyelashes and contoured cheekbones they cannot be seen in public.
