I like Daniel ( jeans friend) as his outspoken and quirky. He is a bit annoying , but you can tell that he has a heart of gold really and is only trying to help. Humour isn't everyone's bag , but, for some, it can help an awful situation at times. Lighten the mood .

(Even during WW2 they put on entertainment for the troops!) I hope jean survives.

It was good to see them having a laugh in the salon too.

I'm betting BobbyNewHead has picked up a carrier of diesel from Philth's garage and the house won't burn down , then he'll go even more into decline because he can't even do that right .

(Not a spoiler , just a guess . There have been too many fires /disasters/explosions in The Square)

The house won’t burn down because Max kicked the door down and will stop it before it goes too far. Max is another character who plays his vulnerable side very well.

I agree new actor Bobby is doing a great portrayal of mental anguish. I wonder if he might be schizophrenic and that could have been why he killed Lucy too? Although unsure he would have been diagnosed while being assessed by health professionals in prison.

Didn’t Jane adopt Bobby? Why on earth have the writers not brought her back or at least me tionhwr. She had a terrible exit, probably the worst. At the time I assumed the actress was ill and they had to write her out abruptly but (thankfully) that wasn’t the case.

I really do not like Jack and Denise together. They have zero chemistry. The actress who plays Denise never has chemistry with her lovers. She was the same with Ian. How did Jack and Denise even get together? Jack’s ‘type’ has been blonde and tall. Then suddenly Jack had no storyline and Denise was with him. I really hope Mel gets back with him and doesn’t leave the soap. I was so excited when she came back and she has been terrific in it since she reappeared.

Just caught up and Jack said he starts back with the police on Monday right to work no re training nothing Hmm I also don't like him and Denise. Bobby is a disturbed young man why wasn't his mental health picked up on ? I read the girl who played Lucy went back to do the voices and a few scenes.

That was horrific. I suppose in a way she might be safe from him while pregnant. Well From being beaten at least. He’s clearly going to control her even more now. But now Denise and Mitch will both be watching her as she acted so strangely after getting the texts.

I’m also wondering where the Bobby storyline is going, I had the hunch they were going to go for the radicalisation angle but now it seems to be much more of a mental health route.

No doubt she’s going to blackmail Sharon at some point - it’s a bit predictable

I don’t think they will go down the radicalisation route with Bobby. I could be wrong, but I just think that would be too controversial for a primetime soap, and they could be criticised for negative portrayal of Islam (I really don’t think they’ll want to go there). It looks like they are going for psychosis or something like that, and perhaps Bobby’s new faith will bring him some peace in the end. I’m just speculating though.

I really hope they don’t pair Whitney up with yet another new bloke. If anyone needs a break from men, and to learn to be self-sufficient, it is her. I think that would be a positive message for young women too.

I’m sorry that your son has died. But people were trying to warn you and you didn’t listen. When he first came on the square and was abusing Louise- you didn’t want to believe it. When he was scheming and playing nasty tricks on his friends- you didn’t want to believe it.

He shot the man- I understand. But he escaped jail and there you are again, putting your blinkers on and you think the solution is for the both of you to run away together. No Mel no. You should have called the police when he escaped jail and begged that they transferred him elsewhere due to the bullying.

The showdown at the pub was your fault. Instead of wanting to protect your son all the time- that wouldn’t have happened if you’d just call the police.
