The Chantelle and Gray storyline is awful. It’s the last thing I want to watch when I sit down with a cuppa after putting the children to bed.

I think they've done the Chantelle and Grey story really well. Most of it is done through hints. Have they only shown actual violence twice?

The Chantelle story is hard to watch.

It's hard to watch I agree - last night I thought/hoped that they might handle this storyline with Chantelle saving herself iyswim rather than Mitch/Karen beating the crap out of him although it's less dramatic. Would be good to see her following the Mumsnet advice of getting her ducks in a row, getting advice from women's aid and calling the police on him herself. I suspect this might be a big Xmas story alongside sheanu since domestic violence is statistically worse around Xmas

Yes that would be good! Show victims that they can do something to get out of it rather than wait for it to be found out by someone else.

I wondered about the grab rail too. Forgot all about Ronnnies miraculous recovery. Hopefully new baby will spur Chantelle on to leave or perhaps she will have a termination and Gray will go mental and she will be injured too badly to hide it (i hope not the second 😪)

I can’t think of anyone who would go on their honeymoon by themselves after the wedding falling through on the 11th hour.

It would surely be very damaging mentally not to mention being by yourself for a prolonged period after something so so much trauma.

Then again weddings and marriages aren’t big deals in EE at all. They are always temporary.

I'm thinking Bobby new head is turning out to be a fine actor. He's got a heavy storyline and is pulling of the tortured soul really well.

I quite like the scenes between Jean and the bloke. The SOH re hikes and ops etc may not amuse some but my mum has cancer and we have quite a dry humour about it sometimes.
