I did think the police took their time with shooting him but I suppose they had to know he wouldn't accidentally shoot Louise.

I think Sharon shouting Mel saved her life.

Don't understand why Phil didn't take Ben out the back as soon as Hunter left with Lou.

My favourite part was very minor, but Jean shouting "just let us all go, you silly boy."
Closely followed by Shirley's bad ass 'I'm not scared of you' moment.

And now we have to wait till Monday

Ben and Lola I think and 3rd cousins or not even that as cousins granddaughter v cousin

Stuart's been hugging a few people lately, Whitney at the swings, Sonia over Bex's exam results, Bex, Callum and Raine.
His softer side's coming out and his dark, manic side hidden for now, wonder if we'll see it again.

Stuart has killed and been very nasty ( to Tina in particular and put Mick in prison etc) in the past so let's not forget his ' dark demons'! I doubt he'll be happy if his bro hooks up properly with Ben. He isn't the most ' liberal minded' individual.
I prefer huggy Stu but 'dark Stu ' is a loose cannon.

I lurk on these threads but had to break my lurking to say that I loved last nights episode! I cried proper tears too. DS is three and I was heartbroken for Mel, trying to talk him down, pushing the gun against her chest in the Vic. When she held him after the police shot him and kept saying ‘mummy’s here now, mummy’s got you’ SadSad that’s what I say to DS when he’s had a nightmare or is poorly. Do you ever stop seeing them as your little boy? Even when they’re grown men??

They showed so much about motherhood in that episode I think. Lisa is irritating, but I loved that you could hear her in the background telling jack to let her go to her child and the look on Mel’s face when she got jack to let her out the door after Hunter. Also, when Lou was in the square and she must have thought she was going to die but she begged for her baby, not for herself.

I’m clearly hormonal because I’m crying again Grin

I too AMA highly qualified medical professional (from watching casualty and call the midwife) so shouldn't the biro have gone in the side of bens chest? Maybe Sonia will end up inadvertently killing Ben and she can go to prison and bore all the other inmates to death about 'my Bex going to oxford" Grin

Yes , Stu will revert to The Dark Side . (I didn't see EE when he came into the Square but he was a vigilante paedophile hunter IIRC, and nasty to boot )

Lots of characters ( I'm thinking of Corrie here: the Windasses were vile , they caused Joe to lose his business and ultimately led to his downfall. Even Craigie was an evil faced little git when he joined )

Karen stormed into the square with a mouth like the Mersey and a 'tude. But now she's Mother of the Year )

The jay and Lola thing is what makes me think Ben might still die, then their unrequited love can still be thwarted by the guilt that they should have done more to help Ben (probably more Jay than Lola tho obvs). Maybe whit can get together with jay eventually.......

I hope Denise will be ok - I love Denise!

Wasn’t Billy really bad at first and was Jay,s guardian (although not an actual relation?). He’s morpged into the softest, sweetest person.

A lot of people in EE have personality transplants. Stuart is evil, he never had any professional help and despite having a history of being awful to his ex wife/daughter, violence to Tina, criminal activity with Mick - he has now turned into a hug giver????

Keegan ‘transformed’ along with Billy. Karen was very unlikeable. Gray arrived all sweetness and transformed. I expect to stop watching again when he returns. I can’t watch that storyline at all.

Oh yeah I remember Billy Mitchell as a wanna be ‘ard case. It’s impossible to imagine that now,and Unless I’ve been Mandela effected Phil came into EE as quite a polite character

The Grey storyline is hard watching but brilliant at showing how an attractive, likeable, loving husband and dad can be abusive behind closed doors.
And you're stuck wondering if it's your fault and who'll believe you and hiding it for the kids sakeSad
And denial that it's even happening.
Strong stuff.
