Max and ruby. Won’t last but another notch for max - how does he do it

Same with jack. Those branding brorhers are sexy !!

Dentist - boring. Think he stays with honey to torment billy and also habbs. He doesn’t want to commit to her - hope they both see him for what for. If I were honey I would talk to her alone / not take dentist word for it

I don’t think Billie was nasty to Jay. He took him in after his father was killed. Billie was an alcoholic bully when he was first in EE. It was Jamie he was abusing. I think. Many years ago now!

Mrsjayy · 07/09/2019 14:43

Billy didn't hit Jay it was jamie he was horrible to, jay fell out with him when he found out he was there when his dad was being murdered.

chesterdraws1 · 07/09/2019 14:48

Yeah it was deffo Jamie he was beating

youarenotkiddingme · 07/09/2019 15:03

Personally I only think Mel can blame herself. She set the whole wedding fiasco out over her greed for money. She then allowed Hunter to take the full blame without explaining the truth. Ok, she's been fighting for her 'babies' release and was willing to do a bunk abroad. But she made the situation 10 times worse 8n the first place.

I hope we get back some the humour that had begun creeping in after that. EE is definitely improving from the PSA duff duffs of old.

youarenotkiddingme · 07/09/2019 15:04

Didn't Billy hide in a bathroom when Jays dad was killed? Bit of poetic license and irony last night perhaps?

Mrsjayy · 07/09/2019 15:08

Yes it was all Mels fault she let Hunter get involved ! Yes Billy hid in the bathroom I don't blame him really.

Doyoureallyneedtoask · 07/09/2019 15:14

Exactly it was Mel’s fault. And she allowed Jack to turn him in.

Bex is going to go downhill. Offering herself up instead of Louise was presumably to show that she Bex has nothing to live for whereas Louise has? Maybe she will get pregnant as her get out of Oxford clause?

As for Stuart ever being allowed to enter the Bic. He tried to kill Mick, set him up, had him put in jail, terrorized his sister, and his wife. Yet he is allowed in for ‘one drink only’ numerous times. A lot of EE is unbelievable but that really is....

Doyoureallyneedtoask · 07/09/2019 15:16
  • Vic not Bic - obviously Sonia’s miraculous operation is still on my mind. Surely Ben would get septicaemia after that???
JemimaTab · 07/09/2019 15:42

I agree it’s a bit odd when the writers soften previously nasty characters, but I guess they feel they have to if the character is going to be long-term. They have definitely re-invented Stuart a bit. I thought the original Stuart was quite interesting - a sort of intense, obsessive oddball. The paedo-hunting thing was kind of interesting in that we were never clear on his motivation, but that was not really resolved in a satisfactory way. I was never really convinced when they made him super-evil and think that was more for the purposes of making the Carters front and centre (again 🙄).

Another one that was evil when originally brought in was Minty, if anyone remembers him. He was some sort of horrible landlord type or maybe a debt collector. And then went all soft and fluffy. I seem to remember Phil was the “nice” one out of him and Grant.

Re last night, one thing that slightly annoyed me was that Hunter never really acknowledged his previous relationships with the people there. For example, when he called Keegan “you” (when they’d been friends). And also that Louise had been his girlfriend once. I also thought it was unintentionally a bit funny that he wouldn’t accept dreary old Bex as a substitute hostage.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 07/09/2019 15:47

“I seem to remember Phil was the nice one out of him and Grant.”
@JemimaTab. I knew I hadn’t imagined that

Doyoureallyneedtoask · 07/09/2019 16:26

I remember it was Sharon’s love of ‘bad men’ that made her more interested her in Grant than Phil. Phil was the Mummy’s boy. Both Grant and Phil did 180 degree turns!
Anyone surprised Jane hasn’t reappeared to see Bobby the child she was willing to go to prison herself for?

SoupDragon · 07/09/2019 16:31

To be fair, Ben would have died if Sonia hadn't gone in with a Bic and the lemon knife.

The80sweregreat · 07/09/2019 17:39

Good job it was a bic and not one of those cheaper rubbish pens from tesco.

Yes to Jane not appearing to see her beloved Bobby!

The80sweregreat · 07/09/2019 17:55

What Stuart did to Tina years ago and what he did to L and Mick is unforgivable really but he plays the ' victim' card so well you end up feeling a bit sorry for him.

His a more complex character than a lot of the others. Callum is a bit scared of him I think.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 07/09/2019 18:24

Is it me or did Whitney’s eyes used to light up and when ever she said ‘Highway’ Callum’s surname.

Oh and what type of mother/step mother is Bianca. Her SD is it bits and she’s getting pissed in the Vic.

Doyoureallyneedtoask · 07/09/2019 18:28

Yeah!!!

Her family just left her to it. Maybe they thought Halfway was with her but you’d think they would at least check in on her and skip the party in the Vic!

Mrsjayy · 07/09/2019 18:37

I wonder if Stuart wasn't meant to be long-term so the writers had to soften him a bit he clearly has issues but we kinda like him.

Optimist1 · 07/09/2019 19:03

Good point about Bianca, Awwlookatmybabyspider - when she lived in Walford, Bianca used to rely heavily on Whitney to look after the little ones. The two of them became really close when the Tony abuse was exposed - it's as though Bianca (or the writers?) can't remember the closeness between them, even though they're not actually related.

iknowimcoming · 07/09/2019 19:14

Oops sorry yes jamie not jay Blush

BrutusMcDogface · 07/09/2019 21:50

I do agree re: the “mummy’s got you” and Lou shouting about her baby being really tear jerking. I’m sure you never stop thinking of them as your babies. I know my mum still calls me that! “My baby has babies!” 😆❤️

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 07/09/2019 23:01

My DDad calls me his Baby Daughturd Grin and I'm 53 !

IslaMann · 08/09/2019 13:02

Re Stuart and Micks history.
I'm sure I saw a clip somewhere where the first time they saw each other after Mick came out of prison it was revealed that it was all a plan all along and they were hugging and laughing. Did anyone else see that? Was it an "outtake", or a deleted scene?

Mrsjayy · 08/09/2019 13:18

@IslaMann that was an April fool it was on EE facebook page so you did see it you have not imagined it Grin

The80sweregreat · 08/09/2019 15:07

Mel always seemed a bit obsessed with Hunter , as she was with his dad.
She will struggle to get over this.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 08/09/2019 16:01

Well of course she will. It’s her baby FGS
