Yy , I read that Fed was skipping Montreal- I guessed as much. He could hardly make a big deal one year of reducing his schedule to prolong his career, and then play more events the next. Makes no sense. And however much they keep banging on about him still being so fit at nearly 38- it will be taking it's toll on him.

So- no on-court cake for him for his birthday in Montreal .

Talking of AC, I'm probably the last one to see it, but apparently he got blasted on social media for the costume jewellery comment he made re Mirka's ring. Various comments, including along the lines of "if he hasn't got anything useful to say about the actual tennis match, he should shut up". As he NEVER has anything useful to say about anything, least of all the tennis, we can but hope.....

That's very unfair of them kazza. If it wasn't for AC the whole of Wimbledon would be littered with plastic bags and nobody would know what a cabbage white was or what that bloke in the royal box sister's next door neighbor does for a living.
