Delpo's gone blonde in his old age Grin

PrivateIsles · 16/07/2019 14:10

The one of Andy is reasonably flattering (it's all relative tho)

Raahh · 16/07/2019 14:12
Grin

Well, yes. Lots of comments on FB about how handsome RF still is. Grin

he's never been good looking

Grin the eye of the beholder eh Raahh?!

Raahh · 16/07/2019 14:32

Disappointed Delpo isn't wearing a fisherman's jumper. Grin

Yikes that is pretty scary Shock!

Djokovic doesn’t really look any different! I could hardly work out who some were - I didn’t want to look too closely. Raonic does not come out of it well!

JaneJeffer · 16/07/2019 15:07

Grin love the player reactions

Poor Milos! Grin

Borna Coric was funny as well, something like "I'm feeling good, how are you?!" Grin

JaneJeffer · 16/07/2019 15:34

Stop looking at me like that Stan Bear

I can't work out who 1/3 of them are. Old Djokovic looks like one of my uncles, which is weird.

PrivateIsles · 16/07/2019 23:03

Grouchy that is a bit concerning!!

Stan has just tweeted a photo of a sunset with a bear emoji. Love his social media posts, definitely my favourite player account by far!

JaneJeffer · 16/07/2019 23:14

I saw that picture on Instagram. I love that he posts so much and it's always entertaining Bear

Raahh · 17/07/2019 11:29

Well, I was about to watch an episode i had recorded of Midsomer Murders, and after seeing one the other day ( that said it was aired the day of the Rafa/Fed final 2008), I now think my TiVo box lied. Grin

I am about to watch another one that says the same date.Grin

So - who knows. Maybe Private there was a whole day of Midsomer Murders on 5/7/2008!

I'm still trying to fill the tennis shaped gap in my day. Sad

6th July, obviously.

I'm tired today. Even the dog is fed up. Grin

Horrible misty, rainy day here. I can't settle to anything.

PrivateIsles · 17/07/2019 13:01

Raahh hope it was a good MM episode!

I bumped into a friend in town earlier - she went to the women's final, so we were having a good chat about tennis which was lovely, really cheered me up.

We were discussing the ballot for next year now that it's going to be online and whether more people will apply, as you had to be a bit more "organised" to return an SAE Grin - still can't believe they kept that system for so long tbh.

And the O2, as there's only two years left in London. Although the O2 can have a few damp squibs can't it? Still, am going to look into it.

Anyway. It was a nice chr and I felt like I had tennis related stuff to look forward to!

The tennis podcast was good this week, lots of good chat about both finals and especially how Federer would be kicking himself over those two match points.

Also a lot of chat about people in the crowd not applauding Djok's good shots etc. As Fizzy said, he doesn't have the most appealing style but it's a bit much to be there in the crowd and not even applaud the effort. I suppose people can do what they like but it does seem a bit mean. You have to take your hat off to him don't you?! (Albeit begrudgingly Grin).

PrivateIsles · 17/07/2019 13:03

I also read that Djok was pretending the crowd was shouting "Novak! Novak!" instead of "Roger! Roger!" Sad Bless him.
Grin

Raahh · 17/07/2019 13:54

I refuse to be drawn into feeling sorry for Djok again. Look where it got us last time. Grin.

I ended up watching a different MM episodeGrin as the first one didn't record properly. Some thing about a magician and a dodgy cult. But then my mother rang, and I got distracted Grin.

Fizzywinegum · 17/07/2019 17:05

Yes I’m not going to be feeling sorry for Novak either Grin - although agree it was a bit mean of the crowd to cheer his mistakes and not applaud any of his good shots - that’s the most he’s going to get from me!

Is this the first year that the Wimbledon ballot is online Private? I think they will probably get a lot more applications - some people don’t know what an SAE is Smile

PrivateIsles · 17/07/2019 17:54

I know, you're both right, it's a bit hard to feel sorry for him with his multiple Slams and multiple millions... But 16,000 people cheering against you is a bit sad... Actually no, what am I saying, I don't feel sorry for him!

Yes I think this is the first year the ballot is online, there probably will be loads more people applying Hmm you know, these youngsters who wouldn't know what an SAE was as you say Fizzy!!

Raahh Grin that sounds like standard Midsomer fare!! Hope you enjoyed it!

Raahh · 17/07/2019 18:08

Private the thing I love about old episodes, is seeing actors who were probably not that well known at the time, who went on to do other things. Grin

OP posts:
PrivateIsles · 17/07/2019 18:16

Raahh yes definitely! Grin Tom Ellis? Orlando Bloom? Love it.

The other thing I like is when they use the same actors in more than one episode - especially when they were formerly the murderer/victim and suddenly here they are innocently organising the village fete!! Grin

PrivateIsles · 17/07/2019 18:17

Grin when does the US Open start again?!

Raahh · 17/07/2019 18:35

Private it is very like 'Doctors' in that respect.Grin. On the Doctors thread, we nickname a character 6th time lucky- since she had had 5 bit parts in it- before getting a 'full time' gig Grin.

It feels like aaaagggggess until I can 'watch' any tennis.
