Rosey, can you elaborate? I like Curtis - he’s one of the few in there that have a personality - and can see why Maura might like him. It’s obviously too soon for Curtis to crack on with anybody else in Amy’s eyes - but I’ve a feeling it always will be! And Maura knows that too. And who else could she choose in there at the moment??

LadyWithLapdog · 06/07/2019 17:32

Why are they never shown eating? I’m thinking they’d have more normal interactions and conversations then, rather than the endless pairing and plotting in little groups we see. Do they cook their own food? Someone else and they have a buffet? How does it work?

userabcname · 06/07/2019 18:16

I think it's cooked for them...I'm sure I read an ex-islander complaining it's all very beige food. I guess they don't show it because then there'd be the cooks / cleaners in the shots? Breaks the illusion!

LittleAndOften · 06/07/2019 18:20

I'm really overly curious about their diet and exercise regimes. I read they have caterers providing meals, Jack from last year said he lived on cheese toasties!

Some of them haven't changed shape at all, it makes me wonder are they sticking to a strict diet or do they just have youthful skinny metabolisms (like I did once upon a time) and can eat what they like?

Curtis has noticeably changed shape. I wonder if its because he relies on dance training rather than diet to keep in shape, and hasn't been doing any?

So many questions...

TheRLodger · 06/07/2019 18:21

Marking place. Won’t be back till I’ve caught up on last nights action

imsuchagrump · 06/07/2019 18:23

I read somewhere all meals are cooked for them except breakfast .
I also heard they keep them separate during meals too so whey will have the ' conversation ' later when cameras are rolling . I believe a lot Is manipulative like some producer must have suggested to Maura about Curtis and and Lucie re Tommy but some truth in it so encouraging to view the opinions etc . It makes great tv and that's the whole point isn't it .

rockingthelook · 06/07/2019 18:51

I think that part of the problem is that despite their body confidence and personalities most of these lot are very young (Amy 22, Tommy 20?), they have not really experienced life and a lot of the emotions they are feeling are new, and they don't know how to handle them ? They probably forget they are being constantly filmed and their actions scrutinised by the public, hence some of the histronics. I bet actually it's really boring being stuck in the same place with all the personalities, and also if you can't stand someone you can't get away from them

GeriTe · 06/07/2019 18:57

Amy is almost 27

InsertFunnyUsername · 06/07/2019 19:41

thump

Kem and Amber from a couple of seasons ago, a new girl came in quite late and coupled up with him. If i remember rightly he carried on with Amber and did not sleep in the same bed, just before georgia picked Kem they had made the relationship "official" it was all very tense 😂

CaptainBrickbeard · 06/07/2019 20:10

Tommy stole Lucie this season - she was coupled with Joe but Tommy was single and able to pick so he picked Lucie. She slept on the sofa but had to do a cowboy challenge with him I think? It was pretty awkward. But yes, it can happen.

CaptainBrickbeard · 06/07/2019 20:12

And didn’t Curtis steal Amy from Anton actually? But they weren’t in a romantic couple. It left Joe and Anton single anyway because Tommy and Curtis came in after and we’re allowed to steal!

RainbowPanda · 06/07/2019 20:31

This year they don't even have a dining table (that we can see) in the Villa. Previous series we have occasionally seen them all sat round the table eating.

I do wonder what the show would be like if it was more like big brother rather than constructed reality. I wonder if similar conversations would happen but more naturally, or if people would be less likely to have upfront chats and more two faced back stabbing going on.

tenthstreet · 06/07/2019 20:34

I think this has to be the last series of its kind. I want to see this show in a more natural setting big-brother-style.

The orchestration is getting tedious

MoominMantra · 06/07/2019 20:48

Oh no Big Brother was so dull.

MoominMantra · 06/07/2019 20:55

Ovie is just lovely. He has a really nice energy about him and seems confident with no arrogance.

RagingWhoreBag · 06/07/2019 20:58

Have we got number 18 ready to go yet in time for Unseen Bits?

RagingWhoreBag · 06/07/2019 21:13

Ooh no I got a bit carried away! I was thinking it was 20 pages per thread, not 40 Grin

HermittaHobbe · 06/07/2019 21:21

I thought 'unseen bits' were suppossed to be bits we haven't already seen? About 50% of this I've seen during the week?

tenthstreet · 06/07/2019 21:23

Just turned it off. So boring

OP posts:
MynameisJune · 06/07/2019 21:24

Why are they showing the recoupling again

Louise0701 · 06/07/2019 21:27

We have visitors tonight so not watching. Guessing I’m not missing much?

MynameisJune · 06/07/2019 21:43

Why didn’t they show the challenge in the week!

rockingthelook · 06/07/2019 21:43

Amy 27 !, bloody hell, needs to get a grip , I know she was upset but get over it...next

LadyWithLapdog · 06/07/2019 21:56

The girls look so gorgeous in the French berets and red lipstick. What a horrible challenge though.

LittleAndOften · 06/07/2019 22:18

What a waste of time that was. Loads of repeated stuff then a vomit-inducing food gross-out session. Lazy, lazy show. The only unseen bit was unwatchable!
