Just caught up on last night’s.
I really don’t want to see Maura and Curtis together. I really don’t want to see Curtis at all actually. I get they’re both entitled etc, and it’s how you play the game, but part of that game is risking people think you’re a cockwomble. I already thought it about him, and after being all supportive to Amy’s face and acting all outraged on her behalf then making a beeline for the guy, I’m starting to think it of Maura. Maybe I’ll be wrong and it’ll make great telly but it just makes me feel faintly nauseous right now.
I’m interested to see what Amy does now. She’s got every right to be hurt and pissed off, and I’d expect her to mope a bit and slag him off to her mates, but I don’t particularly want to watch that play out in the villa and I don’t think that would be good for her either. I hope she has no more ‘feedback’ conversations, she needs to realise there’s nothing he’s going to tell her that’s going to make it suddenly all feel better or make sense, and as much as I understand the compulsion to keep picking at it, it just needs a line drawing under it now. Hopefully if she is getting some emotional/‘well being’ support they can help her see that.
They must be due a mass dumping soon, there’s so many of them I forget half of them exist. Danny anyone? And the two new boys that aren’t Ovie - at least we saw them speak (briefly) in this episode. Maybe they’ve been waiting to see which way all the drama pans out so they can decide how best to arrange a vote/ coupling to get rid of the dead wood?
The ones who can happily go for me are Danny and Jourdan, Lucie and that one she’s with, and possibly even Anton and Belle? I’ve gone off Anton for some reason, but maybe if there were fewer people in there and we could see a bit more of everyone I’d like him again.
Michael and Joanna - I wouldn’t be gutted if they went but I kind of want to him and Amber play out one way or the other. I don’t think she should take him back but at least there’s some interest there for the viewer, and it doesn’t feel as completely stage managed as some other pairings. I do still love Amber, I know that’s not a popular opinion but I do!
Curtis and Amy could both go for me at this point, but I’m sure Curtis is there to the end doing his ‘such a nice guy, wise man of the villa’ act with his infuriatingly slow and atonal way of talking.
And I’d LOVE Amy to meet someone great, have a great time with them (whilst maintaining healthy boundaries) and come away with good memories and a better sense of self-worth. Not gonna happen obviously but that would be my wish for her!
Maura is have wanted to save, but after this Curtis shit I’m not so sure! Hopefully it’ll be a fuss over nothing and she’ll run off with Ovie or Craig David or something.
