Changed the name of this thread as we were very upset with the ending of series 3 out in Bangladesh! Waiting out for news of series 4. In the meantime, we are reviewing the seven series of Soldier Soldier.

Hi everyone. Have been off the thread for some time mainly due to holidays and heatwave lethargy!! Have now caught up with your last couple of watchalongs and as ever enjoyed your comments. Will be keeping up with you tonight as I remember quite liking the last episode of this series. Mainly I think the end where I liked the song. Bit sentimental I know but I'm a sucker for that.

It was nice to see Nickel dipping into the thread to say hello. Makes one very nostalgic for the thread as it was during series one of OG. I was an avid lurker then and loved all the repartee you had going.

Hi Magi. I thought you'd been quiet for a while. The heat made us all lethargic I think. We had torrential rain this weekend. A month's rain in 24 hours. Manchester and parts of Cheshire were the worst. I'm a good 30 miles north of there but it was still bad. 48 hours previously it was the hottest day on record!

From my binge watch during the winter, I think this last episode tonight is quite sad and gives us food for thought (if I've remembered correctly).

Poor Kate, she wants to go to Bosnia and be part of it all. It would be different today, she'd be in the thick of it.

Kate is off on a training course whilst the men are in Bosnia. I suppose these days it's more likely she would go with them.

Oh no, the Stubbs' son has said he wants to join up. I wonder how often that happens. Maybe, as Marsha says, they get taken in with the supposd glamour of it all.
