Changed the name of this thread as we were very upset with the ending of series 3 out in Bangladesh! Waiting out for news of series 4. In the meantime, we are reviewing the seven series of Soldier Soldier.

Did Bernie think at all before she married Luke? She seems so anti the army and it must be a major consideration if you commit to marrying a soldier.

I might be wrong Rhu (and I agree entirely about Bernie) but when Soldier Soldier was filmed in the 90s, did you have to be married to join the man in married quarters? I've a feeling it's not so strict now. Maybe Bernie and Luke married quickly and she clearly didn't know what it was all about to live in army quarters.

Not sure, but I imagine the army's lightened up a bit on the criteria for married quarters like the rest of the world, but it might need to be well-established cohabiting to merit it.

Now next week is the last one in this series. The week after that I am away so do we want to start series 4 on 15 August or are either of you away over the next few weeks?

I can't do Thursday 22nd but I'm all right for the weeks before that. Happy to start series 4 on the 15th. I could do the Tuesday of the following week (20th) so we don't miss a week entirely if that helps.

This popped up on Facebook earlier (in relation to Brexit) but it made me think of the goat scene in OG. Oh how to be stroked by CJ if you were a goat! Not to be barbecued in the truck explosion a few episodes later though.

Oh, that is droll, Ilove! Obviously, Blackadder knew something the rest of us didn't. Yes, I could bear Brexit pretty well as a goat in Nepal, having to submit to the administrations of CJ
