Oops x-post Raahh - yes that's right, I double checked a while back as we're going away tomorrow (staycation) and I wanted to check I'd be able to watch if the place we're staying doesn't have Sky.

Thank you! At least I’ll have a bit of a break from Amazon although getting more used to it now.

Not sure if I can cope with Inverdale though - will probably watch Eurosport - I wonder what annoying adverts they’ll have on this time? Yoga man on a motorbike Grin - maybe there are some advantages to amazon prime.

I don’t think Rafa plays until Monday but some good matches on tomorrow.

PrivateIsles · 25/05/2019 17:17

Haha I forgot about "Incredible India" Grin

I'm sure there'll be some new ads to annoy us this time!

Raahh · 25/05/2019 17:32

Oh blimey, yes! Incredible IndiaGrin

Raahh · 25/05/2019 17:37

I have a horrible feeling that Rafa will end up scheduled when I have to go out on Monday.

Annoyingly, Fed is playing tomorrow, and I am hoping there is something decent showing at the same time. The commentary will be unbearable.

mama1980 · 25/05/2019 19:48

Phew found you Smile
Back from Croatia just in time for the French, for once I've timed this right Grin

Raahh · 25/05/2019 20:34

Ooh, hope you had a good time mama!

Tsitsipas plays tomorrow before Fed on Chatrier. The RG app has a picture that is either a) very old or Stefanos has chopped off his flowing locks in the last week or soGrin.

mama1980 · 25/05/2019 21:23

We did thanks raahh though the weather was awful, we ended up driving into Italy just to escape it for a few days!
Aw bless him, he looks even younger with such short hair Grin

PrivateIsles · 25/05/2019 23:01

Glad you had a good time mama, sorry to hear about the weather though!

I've just been out to watch a band (pretending to be much younger than my years), and they were approx 25 years old with lustrous Tsitsipas-esque locks! I was quite jealous tbh Envy how do they get it so shiny? Is it just an age thing? I'm sure I used to have shiny hair - once...

magimedi · 26/05/2019 09:39

Private I've just been to a wedding & all the under 40s had shiny hair.

Not fair!

Raahh · 26/05/2019 09:53

I've never had shiny hair- the perils of its being naturally curly, it's never really been shiny. And now it's just thinning and funny colour Grin. (not deliberately.

Just watching the beginning ramble at the beginning of RG. They are discussing the new court, with the green house around it.

Raahh · 26/05/2019 10:59

I'm just checking over at some scores- Kerber has lost the first set. Muguruza being pushed in her match . Cilic on course for the first set- Come on Marin!

Despite the Rafa Wimbledon 'list' it does seem that top seeds/former winners are far more likely to be beaten early in the Women's game. It happens a lot. Really, it's pretty rare in the men's. There does seem to be a lack of consistency with the woman.

Garbine has just lost the first set Sad.

mama1980 · 26/05/2019 11:14

Thanks private
I'm under 40 and definitely do not have shiny hair, mines thick, dyed to cover the total grey and curly....not a good look, which is why it's always tied back Grin
Garbine looks like she's woken up a bit in this second set.

Raahh · 26/05/2019 11:36

So, I went for a quick shower.

Kerber has lostSad. Garbine has found her feet a bit, by the look of things. C

Raahh · 26/05/2019 11:58

I'm hoping they will swap courts to show the Tsitsipas match when this ends. Both ITV and Eurosport always seem to show the same matches - and much as I like Garbine, I would rather be watching Stef.

I'm quite sure the Fed match will be shown.

Raahh · 26/05/2019 11:59

2 sets to Marin.

Psychologically, very important to get through the first round for him.

Raahh · 26/05/2019 12:18

I've got to say, there are some terrible outfits so far. Not sure what Dimitrov looks like!

And yay!, they are showing Tsitsipas.

Raahh · 26/05/2019 12:25

I know it's Sunday, but there are hardly any spectators. I'd kill for the opportunity to be there.

And I'm not keen on the refurbed Chatrier. I preferred the green seats ( I sound like AC Grin).

Raahh · 26/05/2019 12:31

Well done, Marin!

Fizzywinegum · 26/05/2019 12:42

Yes well done Marin - he looked very pleased to win that match Smile. I’m sticking to Eurosport for now - the Tsitsipas match is on - he’s 2 sets up now.

I also can’t believe how empty the stands are Raahh - I’m sure you would never see that at Wimbledon - I would love to be there.

The seats do look a bit clinical don’t they? Bet they’re not very comfortable Grin. AC would definitely be musing on that!

Raahh · 26/05/2019 12:43

I've just seen that Grigor' s shirt is actually Nike.

I know they've had bad designs in the past, ( wasnt keen on the blamd white zebra printy one)but omg. It's awful . Grin.

Raahh · 26/05/2019 12:46

The seats don't look padded - they are far too beige and look unfinished.

Not a fan, it's quite distracting. Will be less so when there are more bums on them, I suppose. Grin

No doubt the place will be full when Fed comes out. How much did they up the ticket prices I wonder?Wink

Raahh · 26/05/2019 12:49

Mahut is playing in the singles at the moment - good luck to him. I have a soft spot for him, and he will be missed on tour when he retires ( though I'm confused now as to when that will be!).

JaneJeffer · 26/05/2019 12:53

Do these two ever shut up? They are getting on my wick. I really wish there was a way to mute commentary.

JaneJeffer · 26/05/2019 12:54

Is it a French thing to say you're retiring and then stick around for another few years? Grin
