That last thread filled up quickly! Here's a new one for us.

As a PP said, I can't quite forget how vile Dom was to Malik in the early days, so his rehabilitation has never made me warm to him. It looks as though his troubles aren't over, though. Carol to the rescue?

They made reference to Coronavirus in this episode. I think it might have been added post-production.

SleepingStandingUp · 10/03/2020 21:45

I don't get it. Why does no one care more that the porter stuck the pen in the patient.

Yeah I was impressed they snuck in a hey corona

QueenofmyPrinces · 10/03/2020 22:55

I also thought “the roof” when the question was posed as to where people go when they’re having a crisis Grin

Can anyone enlighten me as to why Essie decided to confess all to Fletch when she knew what the outcome would be? What was the sudden driving force behind that?

SoupDragon · 11/03/2020 07:05

I think it was tied in with the liver transplant guy talking about his goddaughter and how he hadn't been deemed good enough to look after her. Something about how he just wanted what was right for her. Essie realised she wasn't necessarily doing the right thing for
Isla (and Frankie).

spiderlight · 11/03/2020 08:25

Plus I think she was worried that Ben would tell someone.

The coronavirus comment felt very shoehorned in! Definitely added post-production.

SoupDragon · 11/03/2020 08:30

I thought they did it well insofar as it was shoehorned into a scene that was part of the story. Unlike EE when they just film them in the caff or pub with no relevant story at all.

QueenofmyPrinces · 11/03/2020 09:11

Did anyone else feel a bit sorry for Ben at the end when he was sat on his own in Albies? He looked so sad.

SoupDragon · 11/03/2020 09:11

Not really. He's a dick.

SoupDragon · 11/03/2020 09:12

They're obviously going down the "I'm not gay! I'm not gay! Oh, I'm gay" route with this which is tedious. He is protesting too much.

ChoccyJules · 11/03/2020 14:34

Oh, that’s who it was, Marlene. I couldn’t place her!

I was shouting at the screen for Jason to tell them Cameron had a panic attack (or similar) and that’s why the lift incident happened. Argh.

TheOnlyLivingBoyInNewCross · 12/03/2020 22:00

Cameron is just an out and out psycho now. Didn't he start off sort of normal with mummy issues? I despise him for the way he - a weak man himself - manipulates and exploits the vulnerable to bolster up his own self-esteem. Jason - on the spectrum, Nicky - broke and desperate to please, Chloe - a rape victim. What a dick he is.

I keep thinking how much everyone is going to wish they'd listened to Xav when Cameron is holding the whole hospital hostage with Jason's pen or something.

SleepingStandingUp · 13/03/2020 05:21

Yup he was a bit of a rich mamad boy but no killing instate and small animals as a child

SoupDragon · 13/03/2020 07:04

He was a distinctly below average doctor too as I remember it.

Optimist1 · 13/03/2020 08:57

Just musing; I would 100% forgive the scriptwriters if they totally ignored coronavirus. It would be a blessed relief for reality not to invade the programme on this occasion.

QueenofmyPrinces · 13/03/2020 09:16

As much as Cameron is in the wrong, is anyone else getting bored/annoyed by Xav’s whining in every episode.

He does my head in - I hope they write him out the programme.

Maybe Cameron will kill him off.

SleepingStandingUp · 13/03/2020 09:21

Don't you DARE kill of Xavier !!!!!!

Yes he's currently annoying but he's right. He's the only one that's gonna bring down the Camkiller

QueenofmyPrinces · 13/03/2020 09:31

*Don't you DARE kill of Xavier !!!!!!

I don’t think I can cope with looking at his stupid hair any longer.

Why hasn’t Donna told him how ridiculous he looks? Surely couples shouldn’t have any secrets from each other? Grin

SleepingStandingUp · 13/03/2020 10:02

If they kill him off, I'm blaming you.
I only love him cos of name. And he's mates with Jason

QueenofmyPrinces · 13/03/2020 12:47

Grin God I wish I could walk into Soap Land and kill him off Grin

Jason is so so so so lovely Smile

SleepingStandingUp · 13/03/2020 12:53

Yo, back off. He's the only one with his head screwed on!!

MissSueFlay · 18/03/2020 21:09

Filming of Holby City has been suspended! Shock

Handbaghag · 19/03/2020 08:14

Is there no Holby this week then?

MyOtherProfile · 19/03/2020 09:46

They film about 6 weeks in advance don't they? So should be fine for a while.

SoupDragon · 19/03/2020 10:22

It was bumped this week for (possibly) a longer One Show that had some Coronavirus topics but the announcer did say it would be on next week. They may "ration" episodes like they are with Eastenders

MyOtherProfile · 19/03/2020 21:04

That'll be why I can't find it on iPlayer then!
