That last thread filled up quickly! Here's a new one for us.

As a PP said, I can't quite forget how vile Dom was to Malik in the early days, so his rehabilitation has never made me warm to him. It looks as though his troubles aren't over, though. Carol to the rescue?

I hate how Holby makes the nurses look like doctor’s handmaidens. They really aren’t nurses line managers and doctors don’t go around shouting at nurses.

It's ridiculous - groundbreaking, profile-setting surgery and some random new agency nurse is pulled into theatre for it! Are there actually any nurses we 'know' on Darwin, thinking about it?

Dom really didn’t explain what happened to Essie, did he? I know it’s for the drama but he just had to say Ben came on to him, before their trip to Rome, and they’d be OK.

I don't think Essie really gave him the chance. He didn't really give her the chance to properly explain about Isla either. Classic "not talking properly". They'll get over it.

So had Essie given Dom the impression that Isla had gone back to her real mum, then? Because she was on the ward with a cold about a fortnight ago

God that agency nurse was so so so annoying. At one point I was scared the writers were going to turn her into a permanent character so I was very relieved to see her leave at the end.

I didn’t fancy Kion as much without his stubble and I don’t like his longer hair either. I love the scenes with him and Jac though!!

I’m so glad about Sacha and Essie.

I can’t work out if Dom fancies Ben and wants something to happen between them?

Max is just vile - and even the story about her daughter, which I’m assuming is being done to show her softer side - does not do anything to detract from what a nasty piece of work she is.

I liked seeing the chaos on AAU because that’s exactly how it can be - demonstrating the overworked staff, the nursing shortages and the dangers of that were probably the most realistic scenes Holby has ever shot.

I’m a nurse and on some days I turn up at 7.15am and don’t get a single break until at least 3pm. Once I didn’t even get a break until 6.30pm - and that’s no exaggeration.

I’m not really enjoying the whole “Hanson undercover” story but maybe that’s because the writers aren’t really making it clear what’s going on.....it just all seems a bit silly at the moment.

I don’t blame Dom for being angry about Essie lying to him regarding Isla. It must be quite painful for him to think that Essie didn’t confide in him and tell him the truth, but she was happy to tell-all to the boyfriend she’d been with for all of 5 episodes.

Did anyone else think Max and Ric were gearing up for a snog at the end??! I’m so glad it didn’t happen!!!

Not that Max has disclosed her age but I imagine she’s a lot younger than that. It would be soooo unrealistic.....but then again, most Holby storylines are.....

I was thinking the same thing about Max - even when she was all sorrowful about her daughter, I was just thinking what a selfish piece of work she is.
