I am planning to watch this, looks interesting.

SpunBodgeSquarepants · 14/05/2019 21:59

Not sure what I thought of this really... Bit too close to home for me.

BitOfFun · 14/05/2019 22:00

Is anyone else fucking terrified now?

singergirlscot · 14/05/2019 22:01

How did they manage to make it so current. Radio station had Doris day's death on it. Clever way of making it feel v real.

CoolCarrie · 14/05/2019 22:02

Wow that was excellent, roll on next week! Great cast

TheCaddyisaBaddie · 14/05/2019 22:03

Would love to say that I enjoyed it but it's more like I'm gripped by it. Really looking forward to the next episode though.

Keith - Grin

Sarahlou63 · 14/05/2019 22:03

Fucking amazing - Russell T Davis on top form.

KnifeAngel · 14/05/2019 22:05

What a weird programme.

Optimist1 · 14/05/2019 22:05

Brilliant!

Dulra · 14/05/2019 22:11

Loved it but yes was absolutely terrified by the end. Cast are fantastic looking forward to seeing where it goes from here Shock

smithyssister · 14/05/2019 22:11

Gripping.

My mum has text to say my dad is fuming that the bbc are making this "leftie bollocks" which makes it even better!

Richlyfruited · 14/05/2019 22:12

Agree I can't say I enjoyed it either but very gripping! The moving emoji face thing was a bit disturbing too Shock

Felt a bit like an episode of Dr Who woven into a Casualty storyline! Grin

TheGirlOnTheLanding · 14/05/2019 22:12

Really well done, but hard to see how that pace can be sustained! Little Black Mirroresque touches like the real life cartoon animal filter were great, as was the dark humour.

LindsayDentonsCat · 14/05/2019 22:14

That was extremely nerve-wracking and utterly brilliant.

Still18atheart · 14/05/2019 22:16

Really good. However I think i might get a bit bored before the 6 weeks are uo

Hepzibar · 14/05/2019 22:18

We (me and DS) loved it.

checkoutno3please · 14/05/2019 22:22

Heart stopped when the sirens started.

DeadBod · 14/05/2019 22:25

Quite enjoyed that.
I used to be worried sick about a nuclear war in the 80's and this brought it all back to me.

TwitterQueen1 · 14/05/2019 22:25

DD (21) felt the need to go and watch something soothing and calming at the end.... she was seriously worried about Trump. The news story cut-in about Doris Day made it very topical.

I thought it was excellent. Not too much futuristic stuff - though the filters on the daughter were exceptionally creepy, but the sex robot was just funny. Great cast, great acting.

Whatthefoxgoingon · 14/05/2019 22:27

Fuck, I should’ve watched this when my DH was home! Terrifyingly close to reality. Shock

Whatthefoxgoingon · 14/05/2019 22:29

Also, big thanks to the police car that decided to pass by the house just as the sirens started.....3D effect complete with flashing lights Confused

Knackeredmommy · 14/05/2019 22:32

That was intense! I was actually panicking about where I'd go if the sirens went off. Now I'm trying to calm myself down enough to go to bed. 🙁

Racmactac · 14/05/2019 22:35

Thought this was brilliant. Was glued to tv and that doesn't happen often.

ozymandiusking · 14/05/2019 22:38

I thought it was excellent. Quite scary. We haven't had to think about a war like this for a long time.
