There are a few very good songs this year but it all depends on how they sing live. Very often the live version can be such a letdown.

Oh love this show. Never watch the semis but I hope a few of the off-beat ones make it through to the final.

We always get ourselves in the mood by cooking a dinner in the cuisine of the host country. This hear DD has suggested falafel followed by something called lamb shawarma (I think, need to get a recipe) then baklava. Wasn't sure if the latter was Israeli but apparently it is popular there.

I think the Netherlands is very over rated. The Russian guy is the same one as the one who came second a couple of years ago and was really good on the visuals (and was a half decent song). He should do well because its good again and he has the diplomatic benefit we don't!

Am I the only one who likes to wait to watch the performances on the telly, as part of the whole pantomime extravaganza, rather than seeing them all individually and isolated from the context of the show beforehand?

DH thinks the arrangement for the chicken song, wasnt as good as last year. I have to agree. I don't think that would have won.
